What a waste of talent, blew chances at two premier football schools. I hope he gets his act together soon.

pathetic.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
The write up isn't entirely accurate. He didn't transfer from OSU to Alabama. Duron left OSU reportedly after having poor grades and a bad attitude after his freshman year. He then went to junior college for a season with the intent to return to OSU once he worked on his grades and other personal issues, at least thats the story I kept hearing. But when it became evident that either he did not keep up his end of the bargain or perhaps was unwilling to do everything Tressel wanted to come back to OSU, he ended up at Alabama. I had heard that Saban had given the kid a shot with the Tide because of his father Cris , and not entirely because of his football talent.
Regardless of details, it is a pretty sad deal.
I can only imagine what will be going through his head in 10 years when he realizes he squandered this type of opportunity. Regret is the worst human emotion and he will be feeling truck load of it.
I can smell Arena/CFL football in his near future. Only way he'll get a shot at the NFL at some point.
I remember a while back, a caller on Common Man and the Douche had a story about playing a pick-up basketball game with Carter, and Carter tried to start a fight because the guy was playing "too physical" on defense. The guy described himself as half Carter's size. FWIW.
Come on... the Torg is hilarious. Not a douche.
Seriously, BuckGuy ,"Let him live"
The Torg is a douche and and Hilarious at the same damn time
Hardly home but always reppin
Duron Carter...what a waste.
What always has blown me away about his situation is that he has a dad who has been there and done that. If anyone should know what it takes to get through college so that you get your shot at the pros it is Duron. Someone like Clarret it's more understandable when they make choices like this, but they don't have anyone who is that close to them to show them away. Maybe Cris isn't the best father, I have no idea about their relationship. But Come On Man, you just have to get through 3 years and then someone will draft you and then you never have to think about a book again.
All indications about the kid when he was in highschool pointed to him being a hard worker and tremendous talent. Maybe coming to OSU he thought he was entitled. I mean he's Cris Carter's son for goodness sake lol. Maybe he's ok chilling out and letting the fame and money that being Cris Carter's son brings with it.
The only think sad about the situation to me is, he's a complete waste of talent. There are so many kids who would kill to have the talent he has. I hope he gets his priorities strait and gets over himself. In the mean time I have a winch he can borrow to pull his head out of his ass. It's pretty far up there right now, I hope that'll be strong enough.
Btalbert, I nominate your post for post of the year. The winch part was hilarious.
