I saw a couple of Corn Elder questions today, so I briefly spoke with Corn.... He told me is he not sure if he'll be able to visit this summer, but can for sure make it up for a game, or two. When I asked him about Ohio State, he said, "I could see myself there." The Buckeyes like him as a slot receiver, or corner.

That was me asking around.. Wow you guys here at 11w are amazing. I hope they can find a way to get Corn in the class- his tape is incredible
I live in the TN area and he was incredible to watch in person. He is also is a really good Bball player. What is the status of the other guys in the TN area, like Ramsey and Maybin?
Holy crap! I just watched Elder's highlights. The video is 4:40 long and the kid never got tackled until the 4:15 mark... and that was playing defense, after he made an interception. The kid seems really legit.
Heard a lot of Ramsey to USC rumblings and his stock has been soaring of late.
Nothing much about Maybin but don't see him being in the mix at OSU.
Ramsey might visit OSU, and I agree with Derek on Maybin.
Are you kidding me!? This kid can flat out fly! Sort of reminds me of DeAnthony Thomas at Oregon...
Thanks for the info! With Corn and the limited room in the class, is he a kid that could commit and the staff would have a spot for him or would he be like an option B?
I live in the town Elder grew up in and actually worked at a youth center he hungout at during the summers. He has always been an elite athlete compared to the kids his age. I think selling the "Percy Harvin" role would definitely spike his interest. Just not sure how willing he would be to leave the south tho. I think he would fit in well in the spread and would be a great compliment to Marshall and the other receivers that come in this class.
Buckeye in SEC - I assume you live in Tennessee, what city?
Love this kid. He's got great vision, great speed; very elusive. These are the types of playmakers I expect Urban to bring in to stretch the field for the spread. This kid plus James Quick/Robert Foster types.
Watched that video - wow!

new favorite 2014 recruit for many reasons. 1) He's incredible. he never gets caught, he has vision, great returner, and can catch the ball too (a couple really nice interceptions). 2) the clip at 44 seconds. 3) We would be pulling a kid from the South. and 4) His name is freaking Corn Elder. How awesome is that? And Buckeye110893, I couldn't imagine this kid being a plan b. I haven't gotten this excited about a tape since I saw Jalin's about a year or so ago.
He's 2013.
caught myself before you did miles ;-)
@TennBuckeye19 I live in Murfreesboro.
@miles... Do you really think OSU has a shot of pulling him out of the south? Who is the competition? Any chance he's wanting to play hoops in college? I know he's a small D1 prospect for basketball...
Here is his player profile at Rival
The two biggest offers are Tennessee and Vanderbilt (and OSU), but Miles will obviously have more about who may be our biggest competitor for his services. The folks at Vandy and Tennessee boards both think things are looking good for them.
I think he is being recruited for basketball as well- I read on his Twitter that he was named the best athlete the state.
Vanderbilt just took their 4th WR commit today... I'm not a recruiting expert but I'm not sure how many more they are willing to take. I have a friend here in town that is a huge UT fan and has a rivals subscription and he never mentions his name when we talk recruiting. I think OSU should have a good shot at him if they can get him on campus.
@DMCDOUGAL24... I think the was named Mr. Football in the private school division, but I haven't heard anything about him being named the best athlete in the state.
I think Vandy & Miami (if they offer), are the Buckeyes top cometition. Definitely have a good shot at Elder if they want hm.
WOW
@Buckeye_in_SEC - You're right I should have done more research.
He was named The Tennessean’s inaugural “Best of the Best” award as Middle Tennessee’s top male high school student-athlete for the 2011-12 school year.
I live in the area is the only I reason I knew.
@ buckeye_ in_sec really? It's nice to here from other buckeye brethren that live in the 'boro!
Having a Buckeye named Corn Elder would be outstanding. Him on the same team as Thaddeous Snodgrass would just be unfair.
Buckeye in SEC - I also live in Murfreesboro.
Alex, Can you tell me ANY reason why TOSU WOULDN'T want Corn Elder.... Dude can flat fly!!
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got nine guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." -- Urban Frank Meyer -- I LOVE THIS DUDE!! :)
I saw Pantoni tweet where he is in Nashville today. Is this vacation? Or is there something else behind it?
Some sort of concert last night.
This is a person? Figured this was about some award handed out in Nebraska
^ Naw, it is what they call old people in Nebraska though...
"Love my State, hate the football"
Weird. I live in murfreesboro too
Awesome. That makes at least 4 Buckeye fans on here from the Boro.
