I was very surprised to see a negative article about the SEC, especially on ESPN.com: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/8000546/sec-lenient-discipline-marijuana-investigation-says. Something we've all known for a while, but glad it's making it to the forefront.

Don't be suprised. That story is nothing but a recruiting tool. After TCU ran a sting op. on its own students and other MJ arrests in SEC made the news, they just want to let the players know that they will be safe in that regard if they stay in the SEC. That is, they won't all have to transfer to Colorado.... although that would be some seriously cool shit.
So now we know why the SEC wants the 4 highest teams in the playoffs. They should be able to dominate in that selection process. oops, did I forget to use the sarcastic font?
Agree with Schooey. If ESPiN wanted to run an honest story on the SEC's competitive advantages, they would put Oversigning front and center.
What's sad is you guys are being serious. Its so mindnumbing to read some of these "Got Damned ESPN conspiracah" comments.

I wasn't serious SERIOUS, but just a little bit serious. ESECPN does suck though.
I kind of agree. The constant SEC inferiority complex and outrage over ESPN is old. Why would ESPN bring up Oversigning since it no longer exists anyway, and quite honestly, it may have been kind of advantageous, but why blame the SEC for using a tool that many schools in many conferences use and the NCAA allows. Again, though, the SEC doesn't allow oversigning anymore anyway so the topic is irrelevant now in my opinion(although I always thought it sounded an awful lot like sour grapes when our fans would constantly complain about it anyway).
