Saw some "tweets" where Anzalone said he wasnt considering tOSU anymore but Fickel and Urban were still recruiting him..
I see Anzalone going to PSU or UF at this point.
Forget about Anzalone. He's not gonna be in this class. Its gonna be PSU, UF, or ND.
OSU is still on Alex and Alex has not eliminated OSU.
That being said, this one is trending towards ND. At one point it flat out looked like PSU was out of it, but they got him into their 5 year BA-MBA program which is huge. Florida will always be there as well.
I think it is ND, UF, PSU in that order right now, but that could change. I know PSU is working hard to keep him at home.
I personally hope he goes anywhere but Happy Valley.

I don't understand why he would tell some people one thing and others something else.. I think he's all ND.
Thats why I say forget about him.
He told Michael Chung that he wasnt seriously considering tOSU anymore but we want him...personally Id like to see the staff just tell the kid good luck and move on..I don't want to see ND get him, they've seemed to beat us head to head on way to many kids this year already...
I don't care if he goes to ND or UF. We don't play them. If he goes to PSU we will see him every year.
Should we really be concerned with Anzalone so much now that it looks like Darron Lee could bulk up to play OLB?

Anazalone situation = Dead situation, and lets keep it that way. It would be nice for him to man up, and just say he isn't considering the Buckeyes anymore I feel that would be the right thing to do instead of trying to continue to save face. This is the one guy I'm completely done with, I hate he continues with all the back and forth.
I'd love to see Brionte Dunn bust right through the line and truck Anzalone at PSU every once and a while, give him a little reminder of what might've been.

Is this really how OSU fans are going to feel each time someone decides to go to another powerhouse? I refuse to get worked up over an 18 year old. Now if he goes to PSU and runs his mouth about OSU in 2 years, thats a different story.

At this point I don't really think it has anything to do with him choosing to go elsewhere. Its the fact that he continues to say he is still considering OSU when its obvious he really isn't. Check out Michael Ferns he is no longer considering OSU, and he made his point, I didn't see much of an over reaction to his decision. Most wished him well in his future endeavors.
@Brewstersmillions, I agree, lets not be too harsh. But if he decides to go to Pedo State U and run his mouth I'll cheer louder than anyone when he gets trucked by Bri'onte Dunn.

@Brewster, I really don't think I'm being harsh, dramatic, or irrational. I'd like to have him in Scarlet and Gray. In fact, we once had his commitment. That didn't last, so he becomes a competitor. With that laid out, I'd like to see our RBs go straight at him if he goes to PSU, I'd like to see what he's made of.
Not sold on Anzalone as a potential super star at the collegiate level, I think he will be a good player...similar to Andrew Sweat, I dont know how Penn State can get recruits with all this stuff going around still...Anzalones pops seems to be a bit of a drama queen too, the LBs we have coming in this fall will be plenty in terms of depth, and I think the 2014 class of LBs is miles better than the 2013 class...adios Anzalone

Really wish the staff would stop beating this dead horse. With all due respect to anzalone, there is still alot of talent out there at LB. what is the situation with tim kimborough? He reminds me of Brian Rolle, and seems to be highly rated. Has been to ohio state multiple times and does not have an offer.

@ BuckI.8-I wouldn't want anyone to be juked or trucked any more than any player barring any pre game hype or something. If\when he does go elsewhere, Anzalone is just another non-buckeye to me. I won't get worked up about the kid and hope for special treatment. I don't discriminate, I hate all non Bucks equally.

Everyone looks at a player and immediatley compares him to a known quantity and passes it off as a fact. First, the guy who compared Anz to Sweat-what in Sweat's years at OSU has resembled anything from the highlights we've seen from Anz? Secondly, what in Anz's highlights (against 16-18 year olds) makes anyone think he's any better than a productive OSU LB?

@Brewster, I'm glad you feel that way, but looking down on me for wanting the Buckeyes to show AA what he's missing is just the slightest bit "holier than thou", wouldn't you say? I'm not wishing him harm, and I respect him as a player and as a good kid. I'm not out to get him, but I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping he doubts his decommitment just a smidge.
Your reaction is one way, mine is another. Mine isn't inherently wrong just because it doesn't align with yours, right?

Oh god no Buck, I hope you don't think I think that. You are entitled to your opinion and I won't look down on it because mine isn't the superior opinion, its just mine. I just have a bigger hate threshold for an individual player-Mike Hart, or Denard "Feed Me" Robinson on an opposing team. I dislike all non Buckeyes when said non bucks play OSU, and I have plenty of room for specific players it just takes more than a broken verbal to feel any different about anyone. Heck, for all we know Anzalone could be a bust and we can all laugh. Now, if he turns out to be an integral part of a good PSU Defense on a good PSU team and 3 years from now says something negative about OSU, then I will be right next to you on the "Run his ass over" line. That's all I meant to say. No negative feelings intended.

I really hope that OSU staff pass on this guy. Would I have wanted him if the dad didn't absolutely blow a simple situation out of control that he should have been there for. Rather than roast the OSU staff for considering it happened over Twitter and creeper met up with them at BW3. The dad should have been there and instead threw the osu staff under the bus. Pass IMO...sounds like another PA kid with issues.
Brewster...I agree...some ppl get WAY too worked up about these kid's decision(s). Did this particular situation anger me...???? Most definitely because I'm a parent, I wouldn't have let my son or daugher Tweet or w/e the hell you call it with ppl I don't know who they are (and I would have told him/her that). I also would have been at the spring game...and when creeper mccreeperson come up to my son, I could have asked ???s That's not what Dr. Dipshit Anz. did. So this one I have a more passionate response to just bc of the way the father handled the situation. Why ohhhh why would Dr Dipshit publicly say that about OSU after all the shit everyone at OSU (players, coaches, and even fans) went through. I'm not a big fan of this kids dad and bc of this would rather Alex go elsewhere...just my opinion just like Brew's.

Every time I see another Anzalone thread I die a little inside. Can we just stop talking about this kid? He made his choice to decommit, as is his right, and we should move on no matter what the reason was.

No reason to hate on the kid, but I agree the ship sailed on OSU when he saw the fans reaction to his decommitment.
When Shazier is done in Columbus, he will be an absolute LEGEND for OSU football...Anzalone will be a smart, nice kid who plays decent football, I see no play-maker ability in his film or in the way he/his father have handled recruiting... I hope he goes to UF where he will end up being a moderate mention along side the top class LBs Alabama produces, or better yet he should go to ND and be an adequate yet underachiever, or go to Penn State, where he will witness excellence on the football field and the class room once every year...adios daddy's boy

His Dad does not want him at tOSU he is already tired of how bad Penn ST. is Cause they might rise up every now and then and make some noise but he does not want to have to cheer for the Buckeyes too cause of his Boy. So his dad make the school out to look stupid to his son and then tells him not to go.
Let the Boy go. If he goes to Penn ST. and they get owned by the Bucks then he can look at his dad and say thanks is this what you wanted for me.
If we can't land him I hope he goes to PSU. I'd like to see him stay in the B1G, and would be fun to watch him play against us, otherwise he wouldn't be noticed by us if he goes to Florida or ND (never dominant).

I think all of this hate towards Anzalone is a bit overblown. Personally, I hope he does well wherever he goes, he seems like a good kid. I would have loved having him in this class, but if he doesn't want to be here, it's not like it's going to break our program.
Also, I think most of us expect him to end up at Penn State now. With the big fuss his father made about OSU, and how OSU handled it head-on, compared to how Penn State knowingly covered up a much worse situation, I think most of this anger is mostly just disbelief and confusion. I think the Waugh thing just gave him an excuse to decommit after his parents didn't want him here. Either that, or he had a change of heart. Regardless, he's 17 years old, let's just give it a rest.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
