I knew we had a lot of players in the draft in recent years, but I didn't realize just how much talent we've put in the league.
It's a testament to Tress (and some to Coop); and this number stands out even more when one considers how poorly our OL has fared on draft day over the years.
From Yahoo:

wow, 83, nice number, my freshman year highschool # when I was a tightend, haha
It is definitely a testament to Tress. It seems as though his accomplishments have been marginalized to some extent among the fan base as of late - but he certainly had an eye for talent & recruited very very well.

Was it the '03 or '04 draft we set a record for # of players drafted in one draft? Might have been the same year Miami set the record for 1st rounders, but don't quote me on that.
I believe osu had 13 players drafted one of those year and that was the most ever for one school in a single draft.
Five (Hawk, Whitner, Carpenter, Holmes, Mangold) in the first round in 05 tied a record too.
That would have been the '06 draft, but Miami had 6 first rounders in 2004.
