I remember hearing something a few weeks ago about how his relationship with OSU was improving but i havn't heard anything since. I was just wondering where we stand with him and if anyone thinks we have a good chance at landing him? IMO just looking at his highlight tape he looks more impressive that Green, Quick and even Marshall, he could definitley be the Percy Harvin type playmaker Urban is looking for.

haven't heard too much on him recently. Alabama has offered him now and is saying he could be the 'next julio jones' there, which is probably pretty intriguing for him to hear. i had read that if he doesn't stay in the midwest and go to say pitt, psu, or osu, it would be alabama.
Count me as one hoping he fully repairs the relationship with the coaches and becomes a Buckeye.
I think Foster wants to go to OSU but we will see how bad OSU wants Foster....OSU, Pitt, Alabama lead here
why Pitt is even in the conversation is beyond me...
Id be willing to bet its a home town team/childhood team thing. People who are Pitt fans are extremely loyal. Easy to forget but up until the last 5-6 years Pitt was relevant. In that they were always decent and in the top 25, also they put a bunch of players in the league. Beyond that even 20 years ago Pitt was just outside the short list (OSU, Mich, ND, BAMA, Texas, USC etc..) of powerhouse schools they were good through the 70's and 80's. Which is probably why they have such a loyal fan base even despite their recent mediocrity.
Pitt has a guy named Larry Fitzgerald as a former player who's turned out to be a pretty good receiver. I know its been several years (and coaches) since he's been there, but they could be trying to sell him on being the 'next Larry Fitzgerald' for Pitt.
antonio bryant also played there. but i think the interest in Pitt is because it's where he's from.
Larry Fitzgerald, Darrelle Revis and LeSean McCoy. Pitt puts out some players as well. Hell, thats better than any Ohio State WR-RB-CB combo we can come up with. Ours would prob be Santonio Holmes, Beanie Wells and Chris Gamble. But I still wouldnt trade theirs for ours if that makes any sense. Back to Robert Foster, I want him, I dont care if he has a little bit of diva in him, hes a receiver, we have great leadership, u can have a FEW guys like that on your team. In fact having 1 or 2 might even help cuz it gives ur team an edge and a little bit of attitude when you go up against the top teams.
If they grab Foster and Dorian Johnson with a solid supporting cast, they could be relevant again in no time. I wouldn't sleep on Pitt
This Foster thing is interesting. Obviously something happened when he visited that the staff didn't like. And he still want OSU to consider him. This could be for one of two reasons: 1) He is really interested in OSU, to the point where he will do anything to get back in good graces or 2) He's wants to attention of knowing every school wants him. Neither would surprise me. Hopefully it's the first though and hopefully we land him. A WR class of Gibson, Foster, Quick and Marshall would be tops in the country and probably compete for tops in the last few years as far as speed and athleticism go.
Is there somewhere with a quote from Foster or something that proves that he is actually still interested. I assumed that it was just another Kurelic hype rumor when I heard it
Very good question Buck-I-8. I am yet to read such a quote. Seriously, if anyone has actual evidence to Foster's interest, please share.
No quotes or anything just rumblings. Also the fact that he still wants to visit again, probably on an official.
@ShadyBuckeye-
I'd have gone with Cris Carter, Eddie George, and Antoine Winfield as OSU's best WR/RB/CB
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
@thirdleg yeah I actually meant current players though. that would be an interesting thread now that u mention it: Ohio States all time NFL team. I LOVE me some winfield but i gotta imagine theres an even better corner that played in the NFL, i'd have to do some research on that.
Edit- they actually do have a list on bleacherreport of the NFL's all time offensive and defensive units from Ohio State. The guy I was thinking of is Dick LeBeau, he made the list, Nate Clements is also a good option. those were the starting two CB's.
No Jack Tatum? Id go Tatum, George, Cris Carter
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
