Bucksshock: Pace was not the creator of the pancake block (Nebraska did that 15 years earlier) but he did make it famous.
It's a shame that Pace did not make it in to the CFB HOF this year; he was the best linemen in CFB during his day. One of only 2 players to be a 3x winner of the Outland and Lombardi (Rimmington was the other).

I just read the article posted in Buckshots that sheds some light on an unwritten rule when it comes to the College Football HOF. I was unaware this existed. Some of the other names are just as shocking.
Pace was first eligible for the CFB HOF in 2007, which makes this the sixth year he has been snubbed. I looked at of the 2012 honorees and could make a case that Pace was better than any of them.

I don't know anything about the college HOF selection process, but, with that resume, I'm sure he'll get there.

Greatest college Offensive Lineman to play!! Creator of the pancake block! Should have been a no doubter!

He was named an OT on SI's All-Century team in '99. Come on.

Clearly this Hall of Fame, like most others, is a joke.
Obviously, I'm a fan. :)

Orlando Pace won the Heisman in 1995. They just gave it to Eddie George because he was the guy carrying the ball.
