I think I said this on one of the boards before, but I have never seen a highlight film that is all 40+ yd touchdowns. Ridiculous. I am excited to have a player that can put the ball in the end zone on any play. Pryor could do that to a degree, but really Ginn was the last one that had that ability.
^^ You should go back and watch Maurice Clarretts tape from high school. It's 10 to 15 minutes of him breaking touchdowns of no less that 60 yards its crazy!
This kid reminds me of reggie bush in college the way he could change directions so far and just slippery to tackle.
Jalin looks like he is hard to take down and very elusive. Does anyone know if he can catch a football? He is going to play WR so I'd really like to see what those hands look like. I think he has the run after catch stuff down but nobody knows what kind of hands this kid has. Promising future!
He competed as a WR at the Nike camp this past weekend, and I heard he had good, "soft" hands. You can actually see one clip of him catching a ball at the very end of Part 2 of the WR/DB One-on-Ones.
Jalin Marshall shows versatility
Athlete Jalin Marshall, of Middletown, Ohio, worked out at the Elite 11 and the NFTC in Columbus, which somewhat symbolizes his potential future as a Buckeyes commitment.
Marshall, the No. 8 athlete and the No. 55 overall prospect in the country, believes he can compete at quarterback at the next level but is also willing to do whatever it takes to help his team as an athlete.
"I think I did real well bouncing around to different positions," he said. "I threw the ball well and they couldn't guard me at receiver. [Ohio State] is recruiting me as an athlete, so I have to go up there and throw for them, but for now it's an athlete."
Marshall showed why he's ranked as an athlete by impressing at receiver. Camp position coaches were impressed with his quickness, route running and ability to separate. Marshall recognizes that ability and says if he had the choice, receiver would be his pick in college.
"With Braxton [Miller] there right now, I would like to play slot, because with both of us on the field it would be dangerous," he said. "I went up against [Ohio State commit] Cam Burrows today. It was a bad ball but I burned him, so I think I could be dangerous at receiver."
Jalin is a very "thick" 190lbs ... all the way through his legs ... I could easily see him playing running back, and in 3 years being any where from 205-210 ...
One of the more amazing things about that film is he is doing it from the QB position, in a triple-option offense (designed to pick up 4-5 yards per play), against a very good/tough DI schedule.
Similar to what Urban likes to do with his hybrid slot WR/RB position, Jalin was basically running equivalent zones and counter plays. The great thing is even if he struggles at first learning the route-running concepts of a WR, you can still put him on the field and feel his impact by handing the ball off to him.
I think from day one at OSU, he becomes the most explosive playmaker in the offense. I have no doubt he'll see the field from the get-go, and have the ball in his hands 10-12 times a game, at least.
Jalin will be a stud. I can't wait to see him making plays in s&g.
Full film, for those interested:

"What we do in life echoes in eternity"
J. Marshall will be giving B10 Ds migraines for at least the next 3 years.
