Was just browsing bucknuts earlier today and noticed a little headline about derrick green. Although I can't read the articles, the headline basically stated that he had heard from coach drayton and the staff and they told him they want our other running back in this class to be him. Apparently he's really excited to meet UFM in person. Here's to hoping that this is a good sign of us being right back on top of his list..

Elliot has to be bothered at the lie the coaches may have told him if the whole "only taking one RB" line actually was said to him
I suppose you could argue that Green is that one RB, I (and I think the coaches, as well) see Elliot as more of a hybrid slot receiver/scat back.
^^^ agreed, different skill sets, but two hellatalented individuals that would prosper in different positions. Could even be used at the same time.
@DubJay I like that thought. Green is a guy defenses have to stack up parts of the formation for, Elliot makes you spread it out. It's Russian Roullette for a DC, or they play it conservative and give up marginal gains on every play.
IMO Elliot is more of a Slot WR then a true RB. He will be used more in a WR role then a RB. Green is your traditional RB with size and speed, I compare him alot to Dunn.
I absolutely love Elliot after watching the tape. Perfect back for this offense, versatile enough to be a gamebreaking back or slot receiver.
Imagine running a triple option out of a formation with Braxton in the shotgun, Green on one side and Elliot on the other... That would be so hard to defend.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.

Green definitely has a build like Dunn, but is a hell of a lot faster. That is if reports of his low 4.3 speed aren't exaggerated. I'd bet Dunn is in the mid 4.4-4.5 range.
