"I wouldn't call it a goodbye, I would say, 'Hey, we'll see you soon.' Whenever it is, who knows? But keep cheering for those Buckeyes. I'm sure we'll have time when we have the chance to reconnect in some form. In the meantime, you've got to make sure the Buckeyes are ready. Who knows what the next 10 or 15 years of college football is going to be like? So keep loving them and keep flying that flag, and we hope one day that we get a chance to reconnect, and in the meantime we know we're still busy and we've got one another to root for."
I don't know about the rest of this board, but DAMNIT, I love that man! Wouldn't trade his time for anything. Happy we have Urban guiding the program moving forward but this quote, and the purpose of this topic.
To simply say, THANKS COACH TRESSEL!
SEE YOU SOON!

He's a GREAT MAN that made an unfortunate and ill-advised decision and he's paid DEARLY for it. I will ALWAYS love Coach Tressel and I'd let my son play for him ANY DAY!!! GO BUCKS!!!
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got nine guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." -- Urban Frank Meyer -- I LOVE THIS DUDE!! :)
Urban will have to do some VERY special things with his time at tOSU for him to surpass Tressel as my favorite HC ever
"Love my State, hate the football"
No matter what anybody says about Jim Tressel or Joe Paterno I will always admire those two. Doesnt seem like the fortune or fame ever got in either one of their heads. I think thats why they were VERY successful but never TRULY DOMINANT. It sounds bad but I think you have to be a ruthless SOB (N. Saban comes to mind) if u want that dynasty. As for me, I'd be satisfied with Jim Tressel's success if I could have a coach like that in charge for 10 straight years at a time. 1 National Championship, a boatload of NFL Draft Picks and feel good about my program. Which I do regardless of what anyone else has to say about us.
I reserve my opinion on Paterno until more of the truth comes out as to what really happened in State College.

Will always love Coach Tress.
