I've seen a few scattered comments of confusion about Shelton Gibson on other threads, so I thought I'd create a topic to get it all into one place.
What's the word on him and Ohio State? Always considered a buckeye lean but things seem to have quieted down. Any news? I know he's not supposed to be at the spring game -- does he have a track meet or has he just chosen not to come?

Don't know if this means he's a sure thing or not, but my money says that he silently committed a while back and is waiting for his mother's birthday in June to announce.

I don't know how you can wait that long. You see all these other kids committing and it makes you wanna join the fun!
The only one competing with us was Auburn and he said in an interview a couple weeks ago that he hadn't been in contact with them for a couple of months. I think that means it's a wrap (as everyone above has indicated).
Idk i like his talent but im not blown away by it. With so few remaining spots i don't think he has the luxary of waiting on mom's birthday! I mean c'mon, this is major college football and jmo but i can think of @least 3 other guys i would take over Gibson at his position. (James Quick, Robert Foster, Lequan Treadwell, and the Allen kid from Arizona) Make that 4 guys.

@Silverbullet, Gibson is a situation where he's already told Urban that hes committed, but he hasn't released it to the public, and Urban can't release it too the public, so its not that hes waiting to committ, its that hes waiting to make it public.
And on your point, I really like Gibson's game, I think he could shread teams up the middle in the slot.
