In case anyone didnt see the Robert Nkemdiche tweet:
robert nkemdiche @electus_1
How come I never hear from Ohio state fans? y'all show me some love y'all are in top ten .
Top recruit in the country is showing legit interest in OSU. Lets get at him on twitter and show him how deep we are #allpositive

Isn't he announcing soon?
Seems very unlikely that we're even close to being in the running, which is too bad as he is a once in a generation player.
Interesting. Have we given him an offer? I hadn't seen his name on our list of targets, so it's a pleasant surprise. Does anyone have any additional info?
Class of 2008
I believe he wouldn't be allowed to commit anyways as our dline would then fall under some category in the geneva conventions which would ban us from playing football anymore.
Just completely guessing, but I'd say he's looking for a little more attention. If tOSU is in his top 10, they'd have to be #10. I've never heard his name and tOSU mentioned in the same sentence before that tweet. I won't give it another thought passed that
"Love my State, hate the football"
Someone should tell him to come for an official visit. Then he'll get plenty of love.
The guy probably just wants some attention. In my mind he's Alabama's to lose.
He has had almost 5 different leaders throughout his recruitment. But Bama seems like front runner. That said he was expected to announce soon but delayed decision indefinitely so he could have more time to look at other schools. tOSU probably doesn't have any shot, but if somehow Urban can get him to visit.....
Like I said probably not a chance but if tOSU could land Bosa and Nkemdiche in this class that would be unreal. And here to hoping that Bama doesn't land them both because they likely are in the lead for Nkemdiche, and they were leading for Bosa before his visit.
Nkemdiche goes to one of my rival schools, he's my age and I've hung out with him a couple times... The guy is a total ass he frequently likes to say he's the greatest football player ever, I think tOSU is better off without him even though he does have an immense amount talent

I think he's down between Ole Miss (who has a legit shot) and Bama. Probably Bama.
If Urban can get this guy and Bosa along with all the d-line guys we have coming in might be one of the best lines we have ever seen.

@BuckeyeChad That was hilarious. Good work.

^^^I agree
kid sounds like a tease
vacuuming sucks
This kid could be a once in a generation talent!!! Maybe it is just for attention but if we can somehow get him up for a visit, who knows? Its been almost 15 yrs since i was a student and i still can't forget that campus and that atmosphere...Especially on Saturdays! If we can get em in for the spring game i could definately see us moving into his top 5... Is that just wishful thinking?
This kid just seems like he is trying to feed his own ego with more twitter followers. He deserves the attention because he is an amazing talent but I don't think he has shown any serious interest in tOSU. If he visits then I might be convinced but until then he will get no follow from me.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
He de-committed from Clemson today: https://twitter.com/HeadtoHeadRadio/status/266383981665206272
Urban probably has 0 interest, and really doesn't need more DEs, but it'd be interesting to have the consensus #1 recruit.
Almost definitely going to UGA to play with his brother. That's what Mom wants and she's pushing him hard in that direction.
He's a prima donna. Thats pretty selfish of him to decommit considering I think clemson offered a bunch of his friends from his high school just to get his commitment. Maybe he'll go to Ole Mis to play with his older bro
I wouldn't call it selfish, I would call Clemson dumb...
As mentioned above by some, he sounds like a prima donna. I'm done with that type. A certain player from PA has sealed that decision for me.
So are you saying if another concensus #1 player in the country with prima donna - like Pryor talent wanted to come to OSU, you would turn him turn down? No way. Pryor may have been a jackass, but if he would've stayed another year, he would've gone down as the best QB in OSU history.
For BUKYZE
All I am saying is that red flags went up immediately for me when he started playing his games about even signing and made a circus out of it. This is a very touchy subject for everyone and I have yet to see somebody who is not firmly planted on one side of the fence. It is my opinion that TP was the root cause of the problems at OSU, the NCAA sanctions and the loss of Coach Tressel as the HC. It is also my opinion that you don't need individuals like that on a team. There is too much evidence that they are normally more trouble than they are worth.
I believe the word everyone is looking for is pre-Madonna.... :)
(Per the robert foster thread several months ago.)
@Oyster
You let a player from PA ruin it for you? But you have to remember, coaches from OH enabled that behavior from said player from PA.
Smokescreen. There is no way in hell he is leaving the South.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
CARENCE,
I place blame on the coaches too, they put so much of the future of the team into TP that he was (in a sense) allowed to run wild. That is a problem with getting these types of players. They are individuals and the 3 years in college are just a small stop in the road to the NFL. They don't care who they step on along the way, it's all about them.
@Dubjay, that was a fun thread! "Pre-Mud-Onna!"

"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
If there were an opportunity to land a talent like that I take it. Urban is just the kind of coach to knock a guy like that down a peg or two. JT was much more likely to let guys like that get away with acting like fools.
yeah, i agree that Meyer would be the coach to do that...in my personal opinion it would either be a rough square peg in a round hole or the guy transfers after year one of sitting on the bench

I stay away from contacting 16 year olds on twitter
I do hope you guys meant you wouldn't hope and pray for him to come to OSU but once he does you would accept him. If you are tired of the games, fine, but if you say you won't accept him if he is actually on the team, you are crazy!
What makes you think OSU doesn't have prima donna's on this squad right now and we just don't hear about it because the leaders and coaching staff shut them the hell up?
I'm sorry, big Tressel fan and will never discount what he did for this program, but if you think Pryor would have acted like that under Urban and this staff then you are totally underestimating them. I know there were rumors of things down in Florida but this is different. Urban doesn't play around up here because this is more than just a great coaching job. This is his dream and you don't F with a grown ass man's dream job!
I also blame a lot of Pryor's issues on Bollman and Tressel. Bollman never stood up to the kid and just let him run the show! Not to mention the crap ass lines he recruited to block for Pryor!
I think you meant -> Premier-Don-HA?
Premier - First in importance, order, or position; leading.
Don - Title of honor (from latin 'dominus") AKA, "The Don"
HA - Hartree energy, the atomic unit of energy, shortened is "HA"
Doesn't sound so bad... sounds pretty awesome! I'll take him!
Recruiting is crazy and just getting nuttier with the advent of Twitter, Facebook, etc., but situations like Nkemdiche's are much more about good old-fashioned egoism and pampering than about any new communication medium. Should he be allowed to play games with Clemson, Ole Miss, and Georgia? Of course, and I've heard the argument so many times about how "this is the most important decision..." blah, blah, blah that I can fairly quote it by heart. I get it. If you play this game with these kids, though, you should expect to get played.
I'm just hoping that we are now in the "post-Madonna" era. She IS done making music, isn't she? Please?
Unfortunately Earle, it will never end!
Yeah, well you can't blame a guy for hoping...
Who is Madonna? Wasn't she a co host with Al Franken on Air America?
Squirrel Master... Bollman recruited the "crap ass line" that we have right now. He recruited great players ,but he just couldn't coach them up.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.
JACK TATUM
Could you really ever call the material Madonna put out there music?
Yeah, almost put "music" in quotes in my original comment.
I think she actually had to title one of her songs Music so people would know what they were listening to.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
@Buckman, This line is decent and it is helping that the coaching is better but don't tell me this Oline is as good as it could have been had Bollman actually recruited some of the higher ranked players! He didn't even try to get Dodson who was right here in his backyard! He had 1 good year of recruiting and he totally F'd that up! If you are a coach for a program like OSU, you have to bring in the best of the best each and every year. He sat back on his one year and totally F'd it up. Heck, this line even has a converted TE playing tackle. You think that should have really happened had Bollman recruited properly? Heck No!
I agree with you that his coaching was the worst part about the Oline but don't tell me he was recruiting studs either! He wasn't! Too many local talents left the state.
@btalbert, she's a material girl living in a materials world....so....yes. :)
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Stop mispelling the kids name. I'm pretty sure it's Nkemdouche
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
Ole miss is where his brother is and his mother seems to want them to play together. Ole miss will more then likely get him.
I hope he picks a winner soon so I dont have to hear about where he thinks he wants to go to school (this week.)
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
As long as he doesn't go to Alabama (they already have too much talent as it is), or Georgia (we don't want them to give Raekwon McMillan anything to think about), then I don't care too much where he ends up.
His twitter comment is just nice from the perspective that it's good to know Ohio State is on top recruits' radar!
Earle. I believe the word you looking for was
Pass Madonna. I think their was more than 1.
