Thanks GSW. First thing I have heard about Foster in a little while, is Sparty a player for him? Anyone know if Foster is out of tOSU's plans entirely or was he just moved a bit to the back burner after the bad visit? Either way I have to think, or well at least hope, that our class will be all full when he announces, I think he is plaining on doing at the Under Armor game? Given all I have heard about the staff cooling I have to think they wont hold a spot for him, anyone have any other info?
Corveyer: Everything I've read gives me the impression the staff has completely lost interest in Foster due to a concern for his lack of interest in academics. Sounds like they're worried he will have issues with grades or other off-the-field problems and since we're on probation, don't want to risk anything happening.
I had read that Coach Herman was going to be visiting Mitch Trubisky yesterday (Friday) at his school to see him throw. If Herman liked what he saw it would determine if his offer was committable and he could commit. Mitch said depending on what he heard from OSU it would determine if he went to Mich. St.'s Spring Game today.
Does anybody know anything about this?
The more and more I watch Trubisky, the more I want him. He almost reminds me of Drew Barker of the 2014 class in terms of accuracy and mobility. Add that to Mentor's tough schedule and in place offense, and I think he'll probably get to commit if he does well throwing it when the staff sees him.
Added a couple links, from late last night
Would Ashton Jacksons nickname happen to be "Action"? What I thought of immediately upon reading his name. Oh well.
^^I've heard the same thing about Foster (no concern for academics, concern about off-the-field issues). Sounds like a perfect fit for Sparty...
@Bred
LOL
Well I guess I may be in the minority here, but I'm truly hoping Foster gets his act together ... His film is CRAZY and he would fit the mold as a true #1 WR ... big, tall, and fast .... He has said he will take an official visit *we'll see how that goes*, but I'm hoping he does some growing up between now and then ... If he ever does make it back to compass ...
I think Foster should stay in Pennsylvania and go to Pitt. Let him be Mark May's problem, not ours. The kid is talented for sure, but probably not worth the headache.
The ship has sailed on Foster. I think there is 0 chance he ends up in Columbus.
