Honestly, I just laugh at Darron Lee thinking he'll be a QB. As a former classmate of his, he's a safety, and was often too cocky and immature to realize it's his strong suit. He couldn't beat out an inaccurate 5'7 160 senior for the starting job his junior year for QB, and won't get much opportunity this year in the wing-T (run ISO the first two downs) offense at NA. He ended up being a beast safety and decent slot receiver. He's best by far at safety. Instinctual, big, fast, strong, nose for the ball. I could see him getting a late offer to play safety for the Buckeyes. Great athlete, bad quarterback. If he just focused on safety, he could be a strong 4* skill wise.
I've seen every game he's ever played in high school.
It's good to hear that Josh McNeil has not given up on OSU, and I'd really like to see him in this class. He seems like a high character kid with his head on straight.
Keep up the good work Gene.
