2014 St. Pius X (Atlanta, GA) DB Nick Glass who is committed to Georgia just messaged me to tell me he plans to visit OSU in the near future. He said he is going to try to come some time in May or early summer.

Gotta feel bad for Georgia, they got two top studs in Kitt or Knitt and then Glass, both probably won't end up in their class, wouldn't mind one if not both switching to osu
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
This kid literally lives like 10 minutes away from me. He goes to a private school in my neighborhood and I have a lot of friends that go to St Pius that are close with him.

I think they just want to enjoy the process...let's see how the visit goes
Don't get me wrong, I would like the kid to be a Buckeye and all but I don't really understand why he committed to UGA so early if he still wanted to take visits and 'enjoy the process'. I know verbal commitments aren't binding and until a kid signs they are fair game, but it seems like the earlier a kid commits the more a team needs to worry about keeping them committed.
They always say recruit your prospects hard, but your commits even harder.....there is always going to be someone trying to sway them so once they're in treat them even better....
Alex, you're not kidding man. I haven't followed recruiting as closely in years past as I have the last few, but it seems like kids are committing and de-committing at a higher rate now. And this year in particular there seems to be a lot of kids who are committing early and saying they want to get it out of the way and not have the disctraction throughout the year.
Anybody have any idea when/what the Friday Night Lights thing will be about? seems like we would be getting visits from top prospects around that time.
FNL is at the end of July.

@BritishBuckeye: Friday Night Lights: A Primer.
I see it like this. If I was a highly recruited High School kid I would want to visit as many schools as I could. Taveling around the country seeing areas that you would never see plus these guys get treated like royalty what ever University they visit. I would imagine that these trips are paid for?
Unofficials, like Glass' one, are entirely out of the recruits pocket
Unless they get $$ slipped to them under the table.... just sayin!
Recruitbuck is correct. A recruit can't take official visits until they begin their senior year of high school. Any visits prior to that are paid out of the recruit's pocket.
