Jesus Christ, these recruits are such attention whores. Are fans' tweets REALLY going to make a difference in his decision? If they are, he has major problems in his process and should really take a step back. If they aren't (which is the case), then he's just doing it for the attention. What a shame. Not calling Jaylon out soley, its a problem I see with A LOT (if not most) of high school recruits. I shouldn't even talk about the kids though, because none of its their fault. The media attention they get, the special treatment they get from their high school and colleges, and the obsessed grown men that are willing to fondle them if neccessary to get them to go to their school. That creates the problem. You can't blame the kids for never getting certain core values instilled by their parents/guardians/mentors which would eradicate this problem almost completely.
Does seem strange unless he is looking for a way to say this swayed his decision. In other words needing an excuse for whatever the decision will be. These kids make friends and bond with people at each school they visit. I am sure it is very hard to know you have left very disappointed folks behind. Or as others have said it could all be for attention.
It sounds like he is ND bound. I just think it is funny that he does not want to live in the shadow of his brother, but willing to live in the shadow of another guy named Manti Te'o.
If he is making this huge decision on how many tweets he recieves from schools fanbase then I'd rather pass on him. IMO these kids love the attention and I feel like alot of the times they are stirring up the pot with some of the comments they make. They know we are watching there every move and they say alot of comments just to get a reaction from certain fanbases. Pretty sad on both ends, hate to see the 40 year old dude that is wasting time following tweets from a 17 year old.

Eh, not a reason to pass on him. This isn't an isolated problem. This a widespread problem amongst A LOT of recruits, ours included. Its just annoying. I still want him.
I don't get the appeal to Notre Dame for kids these days. They have strong academics, sure, but their football program is nothing special. They haven't had consistency or success year to year since Lou Holtz. Plus Brian Kelly comes across like a total d-bag.
In Jaylons defense Joey Bosa asked people to retweet his tweet if they wanted him to go to tOSU spring game, which I did. Its a part of being a recruit and having your time in the limelight. You guys can't sit here and say that you wouldn't do the same thing in their shoes.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
^^^^^^ I agree with this guy. I'd give my right arm to have as much talent as these kids. And EVERYONE is giving them attention (cough, cough everyone on this site and probably dozens others), so of course they're going to take it.
Whatever a kid feels he needs to do is up to him. Same as any 40 year old. If he wants to look at a players twitter to see if he can figure out what the kid is going to do so be it. How do you know how old they are anyway? Older guys aren't allowed to do certain things? To each his own. The same with any comment here. They are all opinions and should be respected. Just sayin.
It's okay. Some ND fan tweeted Ezekiel Elliott before his last big visit (just before he committed) basically saying tOSU grads are only qualified to deliver pizzas. *rollseyes*
In that case should we tweet Jaylon and let him know ND's epic bowl run of 2-10 over the last 16 years or the 0 BCS bowl wins? Maybe the 0 national title game appearances or 0 heismans...could always remind him over ND's record vs Ohio State during that span, another goose-egg...ND's only recruiting tools these days: You'll get your degree because you might be lucky enough to be one of the few NFL caliber players that we hopefully mold you into by the end of your senior year, and free Knute Rockne- All American DVD.
Pretty sure Notred Dame will finally be relevant again soon. Kelly is a good coach (note that I didn't say "person") and they're recruiting well. Their academics will probably keep them from competing for titles, though.
Just curious, I see Manti Te'o is tweeting him. Is this a violation?
Skylar Diggins is too, technically violation, but its pretty pathetic violation.

What's sad is that there is grown men begging these kids for a retweet.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Im not even sure of the point of having a twitter account

He may be tweetin Skylar Diggins for other reasons not related to football LOL

@BuckeyeSMJ-- haha! You never know. She might be worth a violation :)

@TennBuckeye, Religous aspects means a lot to some of the kids.

Noah Spence committed in part because Urban (who's Roman Catholic) went to church with him...religion can be a big part of recruiting and selection.
Go Catholics. The non-Notre Dame kind of course.

I love how ND fans are using #40yeardecision to tweet Jaylon; I'd prefer to think of it as #40yearregret.

Sad when some have to act above others based on a degree and institution they attend/attended. Oh well, never going to go away.

Don't forget RUDY. Maybe they give that out free on DVD to all players (Although his story has been discredited by Joe Montana and others).
Stay away from the BEETFACE, Jaylon! Try not to make eye contact with him....he may explode!

Check out this Video, I love when he says God probably loves Boston College. Hilarious. "Why do we always lose when we wear green!!!" Oh Notre Dame
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
