Bucknuts has a story about Donovan Munger on their homepage so I'll roll out this little bit. A user on this site who knows someone close to the situation emailed me Saturday night to let me know to watch the Munger situation closely, as in commitment closely. I'm not sure I understand taking another defensive lineman, but always felt if Munger ever had a committable offer he'd take it. Maybe they move him or Price to the OL down the road, I'm not sure, but watch to see how this situation develops closely now that Bucknuts is also confirming the info I got.

I def thought we'd be done with the D-Line, but in Urban we trust I guess! :)
Considering Coach Meyer said the 2nd team O Line needs a lot of work, we know the staff knows our needs at O Line. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these "DL" commits get moved to O Line. I recall seeing Munger's film and had asked if there was any chance he was being recruited for O Line, but the responses indicated most felt he was being recruited for D Line. I guess maybe we'll see!
Interesting indeed. And in keeping with the OL theme, Ezekiel Elliott is working hard on Ethan Pocic on twitter. He is right there with Cam Burrows in being all Buckeye and working to bring others into the class.
Billy Price could definetely play on the inside OL.
Do any other dline recruits have HS experince playing oline? I cannot see too many guys moving but I can see 1 or possibly 2 as Urban will do what works for the team and the player.
Most logical (recruit at this point), to me, as many stated before, would be Price making the switch. But just gotta wait-and-see. In Urban I Trust
I think Price will move to the OL and be very good there for OSU...hard to find a spot for him on this DL especially with Bosa aka BuckeyeBeastMode committing...not suggesting Price wouldnt play on the DL (he is very good) but definitely see him moving to OL and putting some more talent on the offensive side of the trenches.
Yeah Dubjay, there are so many things that go on behind the scenes that we never come close to knowing. If we can trust anyone, its our coach. He has the track record that demands our trust. And you know he is as dedicated as possible to getting the best players in the best positions. We'll end up with a top notch oline that will make everyone say "remember when we were all concerned whether or not our oline would be any good?"

Does Billy Price even want to move to the OL? With 10 months before signing day there is still plenty of time for him to find a place that will play him at DL.

I've thought for a while that if we took another DT either that DT or Price would move to OG. I'm a bit surprised they didn't take Hurst.
I really dont know where we stand on OL right now. I know Evan Lisle is our only true OL recruit so far. I think UFM needs to start going after more OL to make sure we have the necessary depth.

GSS, we only need two more this class to reach the reported total of 3 and we are reportedly in decent shape with Pocic. And it isn't even May yet.
Grayskull, the staff will be watching Ethan Pocic workout today. I don't think there's any doubt they're going after OL, but our targets just aren't making their decisions yet.
Yeah I knew about Pocic but I havent heard any pro-OSU stuff from any OLinemen recruits yet. Hopefully UFM can lock him down and maybe get another high upside 3-star Olinemen if no other studs are looking at OSU.

This staff isn't taking commits from anything but studs.
In a perfect world tOSU would take nothing but studs, but sometimes you cant get all the big fish. Im hoping we can get both Pocic and some other beast so we can focus on skill players.

Maybe it is a situation where Price and Hurst don't want to play OG but Munger will.
Billy Price indicated on Twitter that, while he would strongly prefer to play DT, he is available to play Guard or Center if absolutely necessary.

DMC, I have to admit I'm not sure how I feel about sending messages directly to recruits...
May I ask why? I'm not looking to cause trouble so I can take it down if it's an issue.
Asking them questions is fine. Bloggers, writers, and national guys do it all the time It's up to them to respond. Telling them to go to a school or begging for retweets is creepy as hell.
Ultimately, I just wouldn't want to annoy the recruits, and we should let the staff figure out who is playing what position. But, hey, maybe that's just me. :-)

Bassplayer, I can see your point. These guys have to hear a lot of stuff about themselves with much being way off base. It may not take much to put a little thought in their head that could get them worrying about what might happen. It could be something to think about if asking them about moving to another position or something of that nature.
BASS, I'm with you. I mean, if someone has twitter then they are open to whatever comes their way, but it's got to be annoying as shit; especially when it's 16-17 year old kids. I know I would be annoyed.

He is big, but not sloppy; he is very lean and very athletic for his size. Would be a huge pick-up.
I trust Urban after that. If this kid is leaning Pitt or Penn State - Meyer would dominate Chryst or O'Brien in the recruiting edge. Unless he grew up a die-hard Pitt or Penn State fan, I don't think him being from PA is that much of a disadvantage. He is from western PA, so chances are he may have been more of a Pitt fan....but Pitt's a joke nowadays. If OSU gets this stud OL on campus for a visit -- I think he'll end up a Buckeye. Would you rather play for muddling Pitt or Penn State, who should both be mediocre to above average, at best, for the next 3-5 years....or tOSU? And, Pitt's stadium has zero college atmosphere. Johnson would have a legitimate chance at being a 3 or more year starter for Urban Meyer and perennial top 10/National Championship-contending OSU. It's a no-brainer.

if i'm a kid with that size and 4 years of college potential. I'm switching to Oline. if you work hard enough you could be a solid 4 year player on an oLine that could soon be putting up fantastic numbers. Hello, future NFL stock.

Munger is being recruited by Warriner according to 247, so maybe he likes what he sees in Munger at the Oline spot.

Price isnt moving to the OL hes a DT all the way. Yeah he can play guard but the staff will recruit one if they feel they need another. Hankins and Gobel are leaving soon so Price will have plenty of oppurtunity for PT. We cant play 4 DE at the same time maybe on pass rush situations but we need some big 300 plus guys and thats where Price comes in.
As for OL depth we will be fine everyone needs to settle down. The only OL we loose this year is Fragel and Decker will step right in his place. Dodson, Elise, Pocic as the back up tackles and Underwood, O'conner, Elflein (similar to Boren will surprise alot of people) and whoever else we get this year as the backup guards. If we add 2 more OL this year our depth will be great no need to move a stud who as more upside on defense to offense to be a backup guard.
I agree w/ Bass & Recruitbuck, posting thoughts on this website isnt that big of a deal, but contacting KIDS personally, is more akin to interfering w/ the players career, on the personal level.
