I was starting to wonder if he didn't have a commitable offer, and if he did that he was waiting to long. I would be fine with taking one LB in this class, assuming Anzalone commits soon, and waiting on Jaylon Smith. I would rather the staff wait on kids while everything shakes out number wise, I think this will be a fun filled next few weeks for Buckeye recruiting nuts.

Juventas, I hope so. Still seems unlikely. Maybe it is just more due to the fact that we're so deep there after last year and we only take Anzalone to make room for some other guys... I think we are starting to see those scholarship reductions really "hurt" us now. I put it in quotes because we'll still end up with a great class, just not as deep as we'd like.

@rbuds... the reduction argument is moot... our class was going to be small regrdless of the sanctions. the only class that was smaller was 2012 which had 3 less than normal. Likewise the 2015class will actually have 3 more than they would have.

I think Love waited too long. Probably a 'time-pending' offer by Meyer. I see love heading to Lincoln and Anzalone is in.
Personally I am not impressed with Love. He doesn't fit the Urban style of LB and we are pretty deep already so maybe just one in this class is good?

rampage: you might be right, but with such limited time to get the top level players last year, I could have seen Meyer waiting until this year with a couple of those spots. however this is also moot since it is a hypothetical that will never happen.
I feel like Neal is a much better fit than Love; however, I can seem them taking Anzalone (at OLB) and calling it a day...I think Kimbrough may fit better on the interior.
Alex, is it really that "black and white" with Love at this point? I'd be kind of disappointed to not see him as part of this class, especially when his alt is Nebraska.

They are probably holding out hope that we can land Anzalone and either Jaylon Smith or Kimbrough if he ever gets offered.

His Twitter is all Buckeye, including discussion with Buckeye fans, retweets of Buckeye fans, Retweet of Anzalone saying he's in CBus, Retweet of Billy Price saying he's wearing his buckeye shirt today.. Petty and trivial I know but it's those little things that can really tip a hand.
As I said before, making the trip to Columbus from Florida in consecutive weekends (on his own dime) are great signs for you guys. If it's not this weekend, it will happen later on, IMO. It's getting to the point where I'd rather see these big names go to OSU, ND, PSU instead of Alabama, even though it makes things tougher for Michigan.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

The 40 times I've seen for Neal do not look good enough for a LBer.
Read on another site that Barrett was committed to OSU two weeks before anyone knew about it. So any of these guys could already be on the hook and we just do not know yet. Hope one is Bosa.
So if Courtney Love doesn't show up to the Spring Game, does that mean he's working on a new Hole record this weekend instead?

I still like Love, but I'm like most of you, I would take Anzalone, Kimbrough, Neal, and Smith (of course) over him. I am a Mike McCray fan too, and wish he wouldve been offered, but I think we'll end up just fine at LB.
Two consecutive weeks in C-bus is a very telling sign with Bosa. IMO he is going to be a Buckeye and I could see him committing sooner than later. That D-line will be legendary-Bosa, Schutt, Washington, Spence!!!!!! Then u have a guy like Pitman as a back-up? Good luck trying to block that!
Neal is blowing up right now. He's listed as an OLB/DE and I see him growing into more of a DE before he's done. He's excited about his trip to Columbus this weekend. He must still have a commitable offer if he's coming all the way from North Carolina to spend the weekend. If Urban wasn't taking anymore DL/LB then I'm sure he'd tell Neal to stay home. Withers really wants Neal. We'll see what happens. My prediction was that Neal gets blown away by his visit & commits. I too would take Neal over Love. We'll see what happens.
Have we heard anything more on Love? Alex, are you going to elaborate on the information you heard or are you waiting to see how the weekend plays out?
