I saw him warming up today and he looked fine. But with how Guiton played, I'm not surprised that he didn't see the field. Urban's competitive culture is way different than how Tress treated the spring game, so the coaching staffs were playing to win.
Regardless, he's a talented kid. He'll get his shot at the starting job in a few years.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.

Yeah I certainly wasn't expecting him to be making an impact anytime soon, but thought he could in the future. Hope it's something irrelevant, that's not a good sign for his future here if he really is upset already..

Don't know much about Barrett other than his film and rankings. I definitely love the pickup though but also find it interesting to see his varying ranks on different websites. 247 has him at #1 for dual threat quarterbacks and #37 in the nation overall. Then ESPN has him outside the top 150 and ranked 15th among dual threat QB's lol. I'd say i trust 247 more solely for the fact that ESPN seems to be the worst of them all
Really hope Cardale can keep it together. Urban said he was ill at the Wednesday presser, so I wasn't expecting to see him much today anyway. He just got in here, hope he can try to relax and just keep working. Urban will play the best players, so if he becomes one of those he'll see the field, period. Should not have to worry about anyone jumping him if they're not actually better than him.
Guys don's sleep on this kid. If given the chance he can be a beast!!! Cam Newton type measureables, just hope he gets a fair shot in the futre and not automatically overlooked for someone the current staff recruited.
I agree with SilverBullet this kid is the real deal. Hopefully this is all a big overreaction about the tweet because we need some QB depth and this kid has a bright future if he keeps his head on straight.

Enough of this twitter stuff...if you dont want to compete and be a buckeye then leave...Cardale, if this is how you feel you are incredibly immature and should go to Purdue, or another low level program where youll get praises for being average...I really enjoy Urban's persona and this programs direction right now, especially with JT Barrett in (he is going to be a stud), I am not going to quote a Michigan man but I will take another approach: ' Those who stay, are men.'

I kinda like the fact that he is upset that he didn't get to take a shot. I want guys that want to get in the "battle" and take as shot or two. I want my 2nd/3rd/4th string guys to think that they are better then the 1st string which then causes them to go out and slug it out each and every practice trying to prove their worth. Just becasue he is not happy doenst mean he is ready to leave...might just light a fire in him to prove everyone wrong....
Remember Hyde did the same thing last year after a game and I couldn't be happier he is still on the team. Give Cardale a break.

Cardale is big, athletic, and has a strong arm. With the spread we need to be three deep at QB for injuries. I wish we could have seen him in the shoe but his highlight films are very strong.
What's really funny is Cardale could be referring to a bad bean dip he ate before or after the game. Yet people go into a mass hysteria without any facts.
Its sad, and I stand by my statements that the twitter/social media age is generally terrible for amateur athletics.

Didn't Glenville pound Wayne in state championship. ? Braxton was Waynes qb and Cardale was Glenville's qb , Cardale outshined Braxton in the high school championship game. Braxton seems so elusive, Cardale has not been seen by myself ever. Do not think he started for Fork Union. Braxton & Kenny G are the qb's, lets not sell Cardale yet. I thought he was running scout team qb position, thought I saw his weight has increased ? I wish the best for Cardale and his future as an Ohio state student/athelete. Sorry ODEEZ, I try to keep up on Ohio high school football but do not have the best memory. I thought they, Braxton and Cardale played against each other in highschool and Cardale's team won.

Saw the kid play in high school several times. Was there when his team lost in the state championship game. Has alot of God given talent but I didn't see a big time quarterback. He also isn't agile enough to run the current offense so my guess is he'll be leaving soon;l

I remember when this kid signed I was turbo excited. Hope this doesn't go the way I have a feeling it's gonna go, but it's not good when the only time you make the "papers" is when you tweet something stupid.
You guys are making way too big of a deal about this. He won't play the rest of the year, but this tweet doesn't impact that at all. He wouldn't have played anyways, and if he gets good enough grades and stops making stupid tweets he will be fine by his JUNIOR YEAR when Braxton leaves. Urban wont be holding this against him in 2 and half years as long as he keeps his head on straight and stays out of trouble. This incident is less of a problem than Stoney an Mewhort, but he's a backup so lets kick him off for not liking school.

Is it bad that I don't really care about what he said? Most college students don't like school, and I don't blame him for venting about it on a Twitter account. Not to mention his tweets were protected. If any other college kid had said it, it would just have been SSDD. Sure, as an athlete you have to be smart about what you say, but let us not forget he's a student (of "student-athlete) first, and as a student, I can vouch for most college kids that hate school too. Sure he should've kept it to himself, but I don't blame him.
