Any news on Michael Hill?

Is OSU still recruiting him? I remember that he said OSU was his leader even before he got offered. It has been quiet about him since the news he was offered. What is going on with him recently?

I think he's just buried behind some higher-priority dline. They already have 1 DL in Billy Price, and they likely have Bosa, Poggi, Lewis Neal, and perhaps even Donovan Munger/Elijah Daniel ahead of him.

Not to put words in DMC's mouth, but I think he meant those guys were all likely ahead of Hill on OSU's board/ list of priorities.  That's what I took from it anyway.

Yeah that's what I mean.. I thought it was pretty clear, but I suppose everyone is on edge at the moment. He has what they call a non-commitable offer

Dang, I like Hill better than all of them except Bosa and Poggi

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Once (if) Hill gets his grades up, he'll be a priority for the Buckeyes. True nose tackles aren't very common.

If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target

but do you really need a nose tackle in a 4-3?

Yes. In any defense you have a Nose Tackle. In a 4-3 your DT's are going to play a 3 technique and a Nose, generally speaking. Now it depends on if you are running a 1 or 2 gap system on your defensive front, but as I understand it, most 4-3 sets run a 1 gap system, meaning everyone in the front 7 is responsible for one gap from the outside of the furthest person on the line to the outside of the other person on the furthest end from the line. A nose tackle is an A gap player who eats up the gap between the Center and the Guard on his 'side' but can be responsible to the A gap on the other side of the center from where he is standing too, depending on scheme. As previously stated however, most 4 down sets don't play two gaps so your bigger Nose Tackle (as opposed to your quicker 3 technique) only has to hold his A gap where as a 3-4 nose plays both gaps and thus has the biggest responsibility on the defense. You can always use a hole stuffer. You still want size to stuff the interior and draw doubles so your quicker 3, or rush end\5 techniques can focus on their gap or on their one on one pass rush match ups. You do all of this so your linebackers can roam free without having to "Sift through the garbage" to get to the ball (fight off free releasing Offensive lineman). In any scheme-SIZE=GOOD. ATHLETIC SIZE=Better.

I would presume Hank plays Nose while Simon plays three, or whatever OSU calls the positions.

4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
