My husband graduated from there in 81 and went to school with him. The school was not very big back then. He said he was a "good dude" Sad

He was solid for the Bucks! I'm surprised there is not more written here about him. Highland was a small high school that developed some good football players. There most notable alumni football- wise was Jim Ritcher who played college ball at N Carolina and was a mainstay for the Buffalo Bills in their glory days!

Ritcher had a 14 year NFL career with 2 pro bowls at center. Started on 4 Super Bowl squads and won the Outland trophy.

that is very sad....how did he pass?  the link says page not found and I am too lazy to hunt for it....

Totally remember Rhiem, very solid player, wanna say he led the team in sacks his senior year....I grew up in Wadsworth, right next to Highland and got excited when they would say Rhiem was from Wadsworth on tv, even though he went to Highland (hey, I was like 13, cut me a break).....RIP my man....

granted, My time was way after his, but I scrimmaged Highland a few times in high school. We were D1 (brecksville/broadview hts) and they were... D3? I believe? They always played hard. Never saw him play, but from what I hear he was a beast. RIP, good sir.

I went to Cloverleaf. Now living in Wadsworth. I have no stats on Chris while he was with tOSU but I remember him being a factor. I would really like someone with access to them to shed some light on what he did for the Bucks! He played at the next level, he must have been a player.
