O'Brien actually has 2 years of eligibility remaining. He only played 2 years @ Maryland and he is graduating in the Spring and will enroll in a graduate program @ Wisky.
I read that Wisconsin guaranteed him the starting QB job, whereas no other school gave him that guarantee. They supposedly also had made the same guarantee to Wilson last year. Of course, Wisconsin now only has two quarterbacks on their roster, one a kid coming off an injury with little to no experience, and the other a walk-on, so guaranteeing O'Brien the starting job was not a stretch.
O'Brien thrived as a freshman QB for Maryland under Friedgen and then Edsal took over and things went South for him and for the Maryland program. They ran a new offense and O'Brien ended up getting benched. Who knows how he will fair in Madison.
Bret Bielema is the Boba Fett of recruting...why recruit a QB to that shithole in Madison if you can just pick one up bounty style? Lorenzo Lamas and "Dog" applaud you Bret
If Denard Robinson isn't careful with spooning all that food into his mouth, he's going to end up lookin' like Whoopi Goldberg
I think that them not developing their own QBs is going to backfire big time. Team chemistry can affect a game very easily and getting acclimated to a new system and offense can affect team chemisty a lot.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
I think it is a good move for Wisconsin. They get him for 2 years and they really didn't have much coming in at QB. He is not gonna be nearly the impact that Wilson was but I'd imagine he will be a quality QB and will give them a more competitive team this year than they would have without him. I still hate Bielema.
If I were a highschool quarterback I would totally want to commit to bielema
Wookie is trying to catch lightning in a bottle, twice. Sorry Bret, not gonna happen!
Tomorrow
Not even close to Wilson!
That's not fair, he's stealing active QBs...wahhhh...
Haha Penn State is stuck with Moxie McGloin. And they moved Curtis Drake to defense which is a shame since he KOed Moxie back in December.
Lose all of your assistants....get a new qb with one year of eligibility....
I'd say she (yes she) is still fight an uphill battle
