A lot of stuff to overcome with hometown Maryland (close to home, teammates on roster) but I think the kid wants to win and be a featured guy which is what I am guessing Urban and him talked about. The allure of Buckeye Nation and Coach Meyer are too much here....Buckeyes!

If you think it will be Maryland based solely on the location of the announcement, then you haven't been following this recruitment closely at all.
I can't understand Diggs going to Maryland. I realize it is close to home for him, but that is like a kid choosing to play for Bowling Green when they have an offer to play at OSU. Maryland isn't even good enough to win in the ACC!
True but everyone around him was influencing him to go to Maryland - his high school coach went to Maryland, 3 of his high school team mates are playing for Marlyand and I'm sure everyone he knows wants him to go to Maryland. Obviosly going to OSU would be a risk for him but would reap great rewards. He would rather be a big fish in a small pond than play on the big stage.

If tOSU suddenly became a horrible program that had a hard time winning games, I think most of us still would have a hard time turning them down if they were offering any of us a scholarship. Diggs has ties there and grew up in that atmoshpere. So Maryland is special to him in that respect, like tOSU will always be special to us, regardless.
