Ray Small busted with drugs and gun

Former and troubled Ohio State WR Ray Small was pulled over and arrested yesterday near Cincinnati and found to have Heroin, Marijuana, Oxycontin, and a loaded .25 pistol in his possession.

Ray Small was one of those players with a ton of talent and no common sense to utilize it on the field.  He always seemed to have the "What about me?" attitude and was only looking out for himself. His father seemed to be a major distraction as well, during the multiple times Ray was in the "dog house" he would point the finger back at Tressel with negative comments calling it "a personal dispute".

Is anyone surprised it took this long? Wonder who dad will blame now?

"Wonder who dad will blame now?"

This was my first thought.  Perhaps his dad should look at himself as his kid is no longer his meal ticket.

As for who to blame, I think the pills, heroin, weed, and gun all had legs and jumped into the car unbeknownst to Ray.  Or maybe it's a personal dispute with the cops and they invented these charges or planted the stuff themselves.

Sad, sad situation.  Hopefully from here he can become the next Maurice Clarett and turn things around so he can still live a good rest of his life.

Class of 2010.

Small reminds me alot of Clarett .... his heart was never set on football and always getting in trouble

@Xtremebuckeye

I disagree with that comparison completely.  When MoC came to OSU as a freshman, he said he was winning the starting RB job and he did.  From articles I've read, he worked his ass off to get be able to do that.   From my perspective, that says "my heart is set on football".

Yeah, he got into a good bit of trouble though.

OK     He was a good enough althlete to play for any college and he did get the starting job at Ohio State . Now the reason i said his heart wasnt in it is because after he first got in trouble he made little attemp to stay out of trouble and never played another game for the Buckeyes yet he still got his chance to play for the NFL and the Broncos let him go cause they thought his heart wasnt in the game and we know where it went from there. I just see Ray following the same path

Like SHOWTHEMOHIOISHERE said about Ray Small  "Hopefully from here he can become the next Maurice Clarett and turn things around so he can still live a good rest of his life."

I agree his heart may have been in football early on and even back in it now but I was referring to that time in his life when he couldnt stay out of trouble

I actually got the chance to speak with Maurice Clarett a few months ago. I have to say, he really has turned his life around from where it was in the past. I also will say he is very honest and definitely seems like a good person with a good heart. I know some fans here may not like him because of his actions here. But I am a supporter of him and I will continue to be a supporter of Clarett.

It's true... We really are a bunch of nuts!
