Looks like Noah Spence will be wearing #8 for the Silver Bullet defense. Per his Twitter..

So whoever threw out their Devier Posey jersey out of disgust may want to get a new one.

I prefer Dline to have double digit numbers. Last dlineman with single digit number was also a 5*... Rob Rose.
#8? Quite odd for a D-End I have to say.

Single digits for speed! Or that's the thought I suppose haha, not sure that it makes any logical sense.
I remember watching an NFL special a couple years back where they talked about the fact that receivers wanted to change their numbers to single digits because they felt it made them look slimmer, thus faster.
I found it odd too but then I remembered from the Gator Bowl that Florida had several DL wear single digits: Easley, Howard and Powell all wear single digits.
I would like to see Jamaal Marcus' number to be X... like Bill Goldberg's was in the movie The Longest Yard. Technically it is a number... it's just in Roman, that's all!
what funny is everyone seems to be competeing for single digit numbers now and sometimes it even effects recruiting. Since when did wearing a single digit number make you a star football player?
Hopefully that will be his minimun number of sacks each year. Give him a 20 and tell him to attack them funny looking stolen from princeton helmets.

@ OTRAIN2416 - Single digit numbers (1 through 11 actually) in European Football have always meant starter. Maybe the trend is catching on in American Football.
I think single digits on receivers do make them look skinnier but on d linemen it makes them look way bigger

I actually like how guys can wear numbers that aren't assigned to position groups. I sort of like the odd numbers players end up with sometimes. Spence will wear 8, Shazier will wear 10, Sabino is 5. Etc. I guess I just like the way it breaks up the NFL's monotony towards numbers.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Makes sense, given he will equal 8 sacks/QB hurries a game
So by that metric, Pittman should get #4, Washington should get #6 and Schutt should get #3.
I like the way you think buddy!

I like it when they wear out of position numbers. The higher the number the more boring it becomes lol. Nothing wrong with having a little swagger...
It's not that. It's that they LOOK "cooler."
I would go #9 for Bobby Boucher out of SCLSU Muddogs.
at least thats what momma said!

Yup, I believe he'll be wearing 25.
