This just came across the wire:
Mike Farrell @rivalsmike
Hearing a rumor that there could be a MAJOR commitment flip this weekend. Stay tuned to Rivals.com for more info if it happens.
Mike Farrell @rivalsmike
2013 class, kid already committed. Could happen, not for sure, but certainly could.
Which made me immediately think of Dymonte Thomas, because that would qualify as a MAJOR flip- going from one rival school to the other. Can anyone think of any other kids who have committed early who, if flipped, would be considered a MAJOR one??

I can't think of any other individual who would count. Like this past year, when TJ Yeldon flipped form Auburn to 'Bama, it was a MAJOR flip because they were rival school and the prospect was highly rated. Dymonte is highly rated AND rival schools are involved soooo
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
I would say the only other candidate would be Reuben Foster (from Bama to UGA). I think Thomas is more likely though
This would be hilarious. I would love to see how that one is rationalized by those fans up north.
I really don't think it's Dymonte. Just two days ago he was tweeting out a bunch of Michigan hype.
It's most likely someone completely unrelated to OSU.
Foster would definitely count! Man, that kid is a straight up freak. There can't be too many options thought right now because it would have to involve a highly rated prospect and most kids are still undecided.

Has Thomas even come to tOSU to visit Bri'onte yet?
Kind of hard to see Dymonte flipping, even with family ties and Bri'onte in his ear. I know he was talking about Meyer coming to his school last month and how "he was gonna wear all Michigan that day" or something along those lines. Regardless though, it would be huge. Not getting my hopes up, but keeping my fingers crossed!
Meyer is arguably the best recruiter in the country, but this would be miraculous.
FWIW, Thomas can only unofficially visit OSU if he wants to stay committed to Michigan. I know last year Hoke released Pharoah Brown from his committment becuase he visited Oregon. He wound up signing with Oregon, but still considered himself "committed" to UM after his visit.
Yah, don't think it's Dymonte, I think we'll hear chatter LONG before it ever happens (if it happens). I think a lot of us are thinking he'll eventually "flip" but if it doesn't happen I wouldn't be shocked. It's more likely someone that's totally unrelated to tOSU, but as I sit here and watch Coach Meyer speaking to the High School Coaches Association all I can think is WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO PLAY FOR THIS GUY! SO IMO I wouldn't be shocked either way.
I never say never, but I really don't think it has anything to do with Dymonte.
Worse, perhaps, for you guys is that there is a rumor (all's I know in recruiting is rumors) that Michigan, and Stanford, are pursuing Midland (MI) Steve Elmer, 4/5-star OL who has been a Notre Dame commit for a such a long time that he fell off most recruiting chatterboards.
If I had to guess, I'd probably say Elmer. But it's only a guess, and there are many more possibilitites.
I can't believe I am saying this...... But I am with.... ugh, this is tough.... I am with.... him ^^^. on this one. I do not think it is Dymonte. (playful razzing)
When do all these OL's going to Michigan think they're going to play? Your OL class from 2012 was pretty deep, and this one's even deeper. I just don't see Elmer flipping after the Bosch, LTT, Fox, and Dawson all committed. I mean anything can happen, but I don't see a OL flip happening to UM.
HAHA be tough Dubjay! Hang in there dude, you can do it. The feeling is mutual!
There's no way it could be one of OSUs recruits changing could it?
I think our current 4 commitments are about as solid as they can get.
No way its one of ours. Our guys are working the tweets and cells to get other to commit. These guys are going to do work all year long for us
I didn't think it was one of ours either but I just wanted to ask in case there was some info out there that none of us were aware of.
@HolyBuckeye- If there is info out there that none of us were aware of, its probably not going to have been posted on this board, given that none of us were aware of it.
lol couldn't resist

I think it's that Elmer guy, but not sure if that's a 'major' flip. Maxpreps reported that both Stanford and Michigan are going after this guy pretty hard trying to get him to flip to their schools... So looks like it's this guy, if he is indeed a 'major' get for someone, but I'm not too impressed.
From what I have read from Mgoblog comments about Dymonte, it is super highly unlikely that he would flip this early. Not saying there's not the chance, but I think its going to take a whole year of visiting Bri'onte, being around the Buckeyes, and hearing from Meyer et al. Its really unfortunate that he "fell through the cracks" and M!ch!g@n made him feel wanted before we could get our ducks in a row. Maybe he will be able to disassociate the current staff from the former's mistakes, and not see it as a "Ohio State didn't want me" kind of thing. Pity its not a flip to us! Thanks as always for the insight M Man. Loving that Hoke "gets it" with regards to how to recruit to keep the rivalry alive and competitive. Wonder if the rest of the Big Ten will get on board, or continue to, you know, not be like that SEC conference I hear kinda sucks or something.
One side note - while at first I was a little disapointed our guys weren't going after the kid (especially considering we now have ND's Oline coach), that quickly disapated after checking out his scout page. While I'm sure he's a great kid and good athlete, I have to say this is the first time I've ever seen "Nasty Streak" as an area needed for improvement. Like size and speed, you really can't teach "nasty" (outside of doing some things that are illegal to do to human beings in most states). Don't think Elmer falls into the kids Meyer is looking for, those who will commit heinous acts to win a game of Parcheesi.
I hope its not the Elmer kid for the sake of everyone on this earth, Brian Kelly may go insane on everyone.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I kind of hope its Elmer to Mich. If they want to continue oversigning at the OL position, they are going to miss out on guys they actually NEED. I wouldn't be too happy if tOSU was doing the same.
"Love my State, hate the football"
Let's slow down before hoping a top 50 recruit to our rival. I get what you mean, but I don't want them getting this guy
fyi: Some Michigan recruiting gurus now saying Elmer NOT flipping. Somebody else? See how little I know? Isn't this fun? How much longer 'til the Spring Game, and, like, some lacrosse?
Like many others above me, I really don't believe it's gonna be Dymonte. Hope it is though :) can't wait to see who it is, as I have become obsessed with recruiting this past year.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
My guess is still Foster with Thomas close behind.
There is NO WAY it is Dymonte. PERIOD.
/sarcasm
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
it doesn't have to be someone from the Midwest...I think it is someone down in Texas...UT has a big junior day this weekend....I don't think if Dymonte flips it comes this early...more like in the fall/early winter
Anyone who has followed Dymonte at all knows it's not going to be him. He is CONSTANTLY blowing his twitter up with pro tSUN comments. I agree with the guy above who said it will literally take all year to flip this kid to the Bucks...if it ever happens at all.
Elmer is considered one of the top offensive lineman in the class of 2013... so that would be considered a major flip, if you really consider anyone who hasnt begun their senior year in high school yet a major flip. I personally do not.
Sounds like they are trying to sell some subscriptions in their slow season
At about 830 -Mike Farrell @rivalsmike- Keep in mind all, it's a rumor about the flip. Now it's up to a certain staff to close it because prospect is open to it. The suspense!
OK false alarm- it has nothing to do with Ohio State.
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
The big flip didn't happen, but Farrell essentially gave away here that he was discussing Reuben Foster, a Bama commit that visited UGA this weekend.
Miss Cleo err, Mike Farrel wrong again. Whowouldathunkit? He's missed more lately than Bauserman did his entire senior year.
@BlockOhBuck- Not very accurate to say that Farrel was wrong again here. Look at what he said, which I posted at the very top. there is a "RUMOUR" and "THERE COULD BE" were all a part of what Farrel said. LOL the second one even says a flip "could happen, not for sure".
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
Yeah, I know. It was moreso a tongue-in-cheek comment. :p
