(Taken from BuckeyePlanet) Here is the list of visitors this weekend:
WR Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, OH)
TE Jacob Matuska (Columbus, OH)
TE Mike Heuerman (Naples, Florida)
OL Alex Gall (Cincinnati, OH)
OL Sean Welsh (Springboro, OH)
OL Steve Mathie (Canton, OH)
OL Ben Flick (Hamilton, OH)
DE Elijah Daniel (Avon, Indiana)
LB Jaylon Smith (Fort Wayne, Indiana)
Do you guys think anyone commits or gets offered?
I could easily see Gibson commiting and Heuerman getting offered and then commiting either before they both leave or sometime next week.
I don't see Jaylon Smith commiting however, I'd be estatic if that happened.
Anybody know what the word is on Elijah Daniel? Who he favors?

I could see Heuerman committing sometime soon, since his brother plays here, and he recently received an offer.
Land-Grant Holyland
There seems to be a lot of Heuerman love on here. I guess I don't see it and I kind of hope he doesn't commit. I would much rather have Shallman or Butt at TE
"Love my State, hate the football"
It would definitely be awesome if Gibson committed...
Keep Calm and Ignore the Trolls.
Butt is very overrated (or underrated) however you look at it. I'd rather have Heurman.
Where did you hear Heuerman received an offer?
EDIT: Never mind, I see it now from Alex's Twitter.
Heuerman was congratulated by his brother (on the team) about the offer via Twitter.
I like Heuerman a lot. Long, rangy, can break tackles, solid hands, good routes, decent speed when necessary. Also not afraid to block. Would seem to fit Meyer's offense well. Won't blow anyone away, but can make a play here and there when needed--that tended to be how his TE's were used at Florida. Never really the star of the offense, but a break it open playmaker when you least expected it (outside of Hernandez who was used heavily post-Harvin).
Dont see anyone outside of Gibson comitting this weekend
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I not so excited about Heuerman either. I quess is see him as a 6-4 220lb version of his 6-5 240lb brother that hasn't done much during game play for OSU yet. I'm not a genius either, so there.
I can see Gibson and Heuereman commiting. That's probably about it unless Jaylon Smith commits out of the blue. (like Billy Price)
Heuerman was just offered. So Gibson and Heuerman have a better chance of committing really soon.
@JohnBlair- When Jeff H got on campus as a freshman, he weighed in at 224. Kids tend to bulk up when they get involved with intense college football weightlifting
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
Mike H told me he's not committing this weekend but never say never haha
not really fair to say Jeff hasnt done anything when he got on the field last year..because not much of anything happened offensively last year besides braxton and Boom. hold your judgement until we see him involved more.
Jeff Heuerman, by all acounts, was extremely impressive in the weight room and at practice last year. He was simply behind two great TEs in Stoney and Fragel (who were underutilized anyway). So if Mike is anything like his brother, I want him.
Gibson said on twitter he is probably visiting again next weekend. Seems like just a matter of time before both him and heuerman commit.
Gibson worries me now, he wants his 2 friends to go too
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
BJ: Why does that worry you? It seems like he is just excited about OSU and wants to share the wealth.
Well chances are his friends will never get offered, don't know how that will affect him going or not.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Sweet.
Alex. Do you have a running list of guys you know the coaches want and who want to commit? So far I can remember Heuereman and Gibson. Would you put Smith, Day, Zaire, or Green in that category? Anyone else?
Alex or Jeremy, will you be catching up with any of these guys after the visits?
Awesome! Thanks for all the hard work!
Ben Flick told me he was there for OSU's home bball game vs Michigan and will not be there this weekend
Looks like DB Demetrius Monday made the visit today (BG)
Sean Welsh was there the 12th not this weekend as well
Did Jaylon Smith visit this weekend for sure? I havent seen anything about it besides this and would definitely be interesting to see how that visit went if it did happen. Definitely on of the guys who would be top priorities to go after.
Edit: Just saw Alex tweet he ran a 4.44 40, with how big he is and that kind of speed, no wonder he's so sought after.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Shazier, Perkins, and Jayon Smith as three starting LBs that can run sub 4.5s. Good luck running East-West against that group.
I look forward to getting back to the defense I'm used to seeing from the entire Buckeye outfit. I guess I took for granted that every time an opponent ran the ball, Laurinaitis would be right there to make the tackle with frustrating consistency. Shazier is a beast, and will only improve, and Smith looks like the same kind of unique talent.
The younger Heuerman is the #3 TE in the nation in my book. A bigger and faster version of his older brother. Who will get plenty of plasying time this eason.
He can make the tough catch or power block at the line of scrimmage or head hunt down field.
His video on scout is very very good. Spend some time researching, I hope that you agree.
