We're trying and yes there's a chance but nothing is guaranteed. I hate it when people say that Urbs will definitely flip him. That's rubbish because you have no way of knowing that. I think people place their bets on Urban flipping the kid as opposed to the kid sticking to his commitment; almost as if they "know" for sure he will flip.
It's so early right now. It will be interesting to watch his recruitment unfold over the next 8-10 months. But I won't say that Dymonte will "definitely" flip.
What is this based on Alex? What makes you think Dymonte Thomas is going to flip? Because everything he has said has made me believe he is true blue. Is there a possibility? Yes, of course there is a possibility any recruit in this country is going to flip. I just do not think you guys have anything factual about it right now. Besides, brionte and his brother going to school there. It is more wishful thinking right now in my opinion.
If he does great for you guys, as of right now I just do not really see it happening. I follow Michigan recruiting like it is a second job. Read a lot of interviews in regards to Dymonte. As of right now, I am really not worried.
Him and Shane Morris have become very good friends, he has came up here to Michigan and spent a weekend with the Morris family. Just do not see that happening and then flipping. Of course anything is possible. But I am very confident, we will see what the next 11 months or so holds.
You shouldn't be worried if he does flip. He is just one kid and either team would do fine without him. There are other safetys out there that are uncomitted and just as good or better.
Well yes that is true....but Dymonte is a genuinely good kid and would be a great ambassador to the University and the State. I think the kid has a lot going for him and is just a great athlete. He may not be the top football player in the state according to the "experts", but he is the best athlete in Ohio.
Rational Mfan I was answering the OP that yes we are trying and yes it is a possibility. I am by no means saying it WILL happen, just that there is certainly a chance it could.
I don't see anyone deommitting unless we go 7-5 or worse. I wonder if Urban really wants him, or just embraces the challenge of flipping a Michigan recruit who happens to be a top 3 player from Ohio. Like someone said earlier, there are lots of quality safeties out there still.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Alex....anyone that can read should have been able to understand you were answering the OP....Only thing I can come up with in regards to reading one of the other fan bases post is that they are really insecure with their team/recruits.
As far as Thomas is concerned....would I like him to be a Buckeye? Yes....will it kill our team/recruiting class if he is not? No.
Same guy posted something about big time wide receivers not wanting to come here because of the style of offense. He said only Louis Murphy is the only receiver he could think of the Urban put in the NFL lol...yah....only Louis Murphy (sarcasm lol).
@ rational m fan, taking nothing away from Dymonte but Jalin Marshall is the best athlete in the state of ohio, expert or no expert film dont lie. That being said, would love to have Dymonte be a buckeye as well.
From what I have read about Dymonte is that it is unlikely that he flips. Meyer will try and rightfully so but I think he is pretty solid for UM. The fact that when Meyer came to his High School and he claimed he was gonna wear UM gear tells me alot. I'd give it a %10 chance he flips.
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
I cannot believe you beat me to that BigSwede. DAMN.

He may flip because he still wants The Buckeyes to recruit him.

Dymonte is not the best athlete in Ohio. What a rational statement! Perhaps the best safety, not the best athlete.
