He is a great athlete, GREAT player. But choosing UMD and expecting to win championships? Just do not get that logic. Oh well

He has to do what's right for him. Can't blame the kid for wanting to stay home. Good luck to him trying to help that Maryland team get better. Can't argue that they def. Need all the help they can get.

huge coup for edsall maybe he'll get to see more than 2 years of his most dynamic playmaker (richrod didn't).

Also I wonder if this means Fuller may end up there as well?

Was looking back at the 2011, 2010 ESPN 150's--haven't heard of even 25% of them. Gotta wonder if Diggs slips away into anonymity/mediocrity with the rest. Talent is great, but it's nothing without the right coaching along the way imo. That's what he's missing out on by choosing Maryland over OSU (and even Florida) if you ask me.

He apparently is scared to leave home and scared of competition. No other reason for a star player to go to Maryland. Just means we get one more star next year.

You can't win a championship at Maryland even if it is your hometown city. Even if the other spot in next years BCS title game was open and it came down to Maryland and a bowl banned Ohio State team I am pretty sure OSU would get the nod over UMD.

I picked OSU yesterday but after seeing the venue setting at the local sports bar and having the fans wait for over an hour I knew he was staying home. Oh well. We will never have to worry about him burning us in the next 4 years playing for a 6-8 win Maryland team. I am dissapointed that we didn't get that offensive speedster that we needed in the 2012 class. This is however a top 5 class and it leaves us another for an even more talented 2013 class.

Diggs faxed his LOI into Maryland today at noon and said he knew 4 days ago it was Maryland. So all the mis-information was for the drama.

The last thing we need at Ohio State is more drama after the roller coaster year they just had. Let's get the kids that truley want to be Buckeyes. Hopefully this opens the door for a McCray offer.

Good luck to him. Very happy this drama is over and we can focus on better things. Real recruiting starts now with a years time for the staff to build strong relationships. However, we should accept that even Urban Meyer is going to lose some recruits somewhere but he is going to be successful by a large margin. I would be thrilled with that.
