edit: there is no reposting of premium info on 11W, as it can get us in siginificant trouble and hurt us in the long run. if you like this site, don't post/ask for info that's behind a paywall
also ESPN is completely awful at recruiting evaluations don't read anything they write jeez
hey ESPiN: go blow! It looks like they have J. Marshall as a 4-star as opposed to a 5-star....WTF! They must not be watching the same video we've all seen. I bet if J. Marshall committed early to an SEC school....he would've been an automatic 5-star. Same with C. Burrows. And, Robert Foster: 4-star? hahaha, okaaaay --- if there ever was a 5-star WR/ATH...he's the guy. This is exactly why ESPiN is my last choice of recruiting info. behind Scout and Rivals. Oh well...in the end, these recruiting rankings don't matter all that much. We'll know a few years down the road who the real stars are.
In all seriousness, ESPN recruiting rankings are BY FAR the worst in the business (and this has been proven with empirical data when compared to Scout/Rivals). I would even put 247sports and MaxPreps well ahead of ESPN. Take everything from that list with a boulder-sized grain of salt.
Marshall and Foster should DEFINITELY be five-stars. Burrows is a borderline five-star as well. But to be fair, ESPN usually only gives five-star rankings to like 10 players in each class, as opposed to the 50 by Rivals. So take that FWIW.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
If you guys don't like ESPN's rankings then stop looking at them. But you look foolish if you actually believe their is some conspiracy to rank OSU recruits/leans lower than others. Do you know how much time and effort that would take? Each recruiting site is different and has its pros and cons. Scout for example gives out 5* ratings like halloween candy. ESPN does have a bit of a bias towards southern players, but so do all the other sites(just not as bad) but it has NOTHING to do with players looking at OSU. If that were the case how do you explain Neal and Diggs rankings going UP with their last update? There are also 4-5 players who are ranked HIGHER on ESPN than any of the other sites...but some of you conspiracy theorists forget, or ignore, that.
And for the record, if you actually read the article where those ratings were posted you would see a disclaimer saying these were based off of Soph. year film only and that they would change many times in the future.
It's definitely not an intentionaly conspiracy against OSU, but they do a lot of their rankings by location. Prospects from Florida and the deep south get MUCH more attention from ESPN than other recruits do. That tends to skew the rankings in favor of SEC schools.

On Breneman I have read he is a big PSU fan but he will not let that effect his decision. I know he genuinely excited to receive a call from Meyer so we have a shot. I would still favor PSU in this one but can't count out Meyer.
guys, this needs to be reiterated, there is NO POSTING of any premium/paid info from other sites on 11W. they can come after us financially, it makes us look bad, and it hurts us in the long run, especially as a totally free site. please refrain from this in the future
o'brien is more known for his skill with qbs and his relationship with tom lady. And if you look at the bigger picture, hernandez is meyers guy. He coached him and featured him in his offense at florida. So if your looking at who will prepare you the best for the nfl, I think you would have to give meyer the nod. Not to mention the qb situation is much better at osu than it is at psu.

They dont actually rank yet, they simply have the 5 stars in alaphbetical order, followed by 4 stars in same way.

Scout should have their Top 300 out by the end of the month.

On the 247 rankings, it looks like we have a decent shot at 5 of the top 30!!! That's big time... and we thought Urban's class was good this year
4. Jaylon Smith
5. Jalin Marshall -verbal
15. Robert Foster
28. Adam Brenneman
30. Cameron Burrows -verbal
Jadeveon Clowney was everyone's top recruit and being in the top ten in sacks and second in forced fumbles as a freshman in the SEC isn't too bad.
Do we really have a good shot at Brenneman? Sounds like he's putting academics first above all and that may make him more of a ND guy.
On Breneman I have read he is a big PSU fan but he will not let that effect his decision. I know he genuinely excited to receive a call from Meyer so we have a shot. I would still favor PSU in this one but can't count out Meyer.
Brenneman knows what BOB has done with Hernandez and Gronkowski this year with the Pats, I think theres a good chance he ends up at psu.

Johnny, are any direct quotations allowed or is it only a synopsis?
