Brady Jokes newest commitment 2013 Class of scUM

I thought this was a joke when I read this and his combine numbers but I guess Brady is getting anxious with Urban Meyer around town and is snagging all the commitments he can even if they are 2-3 star players

Kids name who committed is Khalid Hill

He's a undersized TE 6'2 230

Slow 40: 5.12

Slow shuttle: 4.84

Vert: 27 in which is his best combine number although not impressive

Anyways when I saw his numbers and laughed so I thought I'd share

I usually don't make fun of the less fortunate, but in scUM's case, I'll make an exception! HAHA

I can understand we all dislike Michigan and that's the true point of this thread, but it doesn't seem right to do so by belittling the talent of an 18 year old kid. Just my opinion though.

I was curious how this type of thing is allowed to happen, having had my hopes of future recruiting battles set this recent recruiting cycle, so I visited a few M!ch!g@n blogs to get their perspective (cringe).  TTB does little more than recite some stats and the fact that he is unranked by ESPN, Rivals, and Scout and a three star by 247.  As Scout only has two TE's currently rated for 2013 (both "only" four stars), I can only assume he'll fall in the 3 star range once the other recruiting services get their ratings in order (247 tended to be on the same page as Scout & Rivals this last year at least). Mgo does their typical new recruit wrap up, and don't shed too much more light other than him being a summer camp mvp at AACC, and that his 5.11 40 time is legitimately that slow as he was electronically timed.  Of course the M!ch!g@n homers compare him to Hernandez in the super bowl (height-wise, as if in "if he can do it, so can our guy!"), however neglect to take into account Hernandez also is likely a little faster (unofficially, 4.64 vs. Khalid's 5.11).

He'll apparently be more of an H-back/fullback in their system, but still, do you want to use one of your 18 scholarships on a utility player this early in the recruiting season?

@ BP1981 Hoke's probably banking on the fact that he's a safe commitment as it's unlikely Meyer will try to flip him.

@lljjgg I wasn't trying to come off to belittle the talent of this kid. I'm not that kind of person and lets be honest the average high school football players will post similar statistics if not worse. I was just suprised that Michigan would throw an early scholarship at a kid with these numbers. I hate scUM as much of the rest of OSU fans but I do know what D1 talent is and combine numbers should look like and his numbers seemed very low to be D1 let alone a Big 10 TE. I was more poking the fact that Brady must be scared of Meyer to put an offer at what I considered to be high 2 low 3 star talent. Think more making fun of Michigan less making fun of this kids talent thats what I was going for
