Hey gang,
Is there anybody from Chicago who is making a trip out to Columbus for the Spring Game that would be interested in traveling together? I'm hoping to make it out to the game (I grew up in Texas, and it'd be my first time in the 'Shoe), but need to work through some logistical things first. If you're interested, please contact me via my 11W profile.

Where abouts in Chicago Ethan? City? Burbs?
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'm living in the city (Logan Square area), so my options of meeting somewhere are limited to wherever the CTA can take me haha
for spring game, is it just a show-up and buy a ticket type deal or what? never been to one but i want to.
You can buy in advance thru Ticketmaster or buy the day of.

got ya, thanks
I actually live near Andersonville and will be heading to Columbus for the game, but will be flying. If you can swing it, MDW -> CMH is an easy trip from the perspective of both airports being well-run and on-time and the flight only being about 55 minutes.
As for the Spring Game, on nice days, the crowds can get above 90,000, though I don't think the event has ever sold out. However, if the weather cooperates, we could see it sell out this year given Urban Fever.
Jason, I heard the spring game has been sold out before and we have a record or one of the top crowds ever to be at a spring game? Could be wrong, but I thought I saw that some where....
We set the record two years ago (the spring before Pryor's JR year) and it was 95ish I want to say. If it has sold out before, it was back in the day before the stadium expanded past 90k.
If we want a chance at rebreaking the record the weather has to be perfect. I was there when we set the record 3 years ago, it was beautiful out. I was also there the next year when it was cloudy and had been raining on and off, and not many people came. If it's raining or there's even a chance at rain that will keep the fair weather fans at home, because after all it's just a "scrimmage."
