WOW!! Considering that I do not know the full story, just information from a local paper (per the link from Maetro), I am wiaitng to comment until the full news from all parties involved and investigative info comes out. Even though my opinion means squat. You get the point
I wish him well in his future endeavors don't get me wrong. OSU doesn't need student athletes who cant abide by rules & regulations as well as make smart & informed decisions off the football field. This goes for any athlete comin to OSU as their have been enough off the field issues regarding student athletes & their doesn't need to be anymore & Coach Meyer has made it crystal clear that he's not putting up with discipline issues. You'll be suspended or booted quicker than ya think!
@Big Swede: Nothing came of the Chris Cater stuff. Kid was arrested, but no charges were ever filed. It is largely believed that the accusations were false. Unfortunately, there is almost no coverage of the outcome of all that in the media. This is what I was referring to when I wrote that we should hope for Roger's sake that this is another Chris Carter situation.
Doesn't is seem strange that the girl said it happened 2 times a month apart. If it happened the first time why was she letting him drive her car and with him a month later? I'm not judging just curious.
@Big Swede: You are absolutely correct. I edited my first post to link to that article shortly after my first response to you. I was thinking Buckeye fans would be aware of the outcome, but I should have been more clear. Thanks for calling me out on this. Meanwhile, let's try to reserve judgement in these types of cases.
Rape (Lewis case) is way different than alleged molestation (Carter case). I tweet to Alex and Brandon Castel of TheOzone, and Brandon said that he is for sure not going to sign with us tomorrow. It's a guilty until innocent country, and remember that Ohio State doesn't have to wait out legalities before rendering a verdict (see Penn State administrators and JoePa)
@TASPRA agreed. We clearly don't have the full story yet because it isn't making a lot of sense yet which is why I am going to refrain from judging him until more is provided. Hopefully for this kid it's not true, but you never know!
Scott suggests that, if a news source reports an individual or group/organization in the public eye claim(s) that something is true/false (e.g., Hoke and company recruit "the right way"), therefore we should assume that the public figure(s) is telling the truth, which might bode well for Roger Lewis.
Btw, Scott, I'm just razzing ya, not meant to be serious.
I heard about this a few hours ago from a buddy who went to Pickerington Central a couple years back. He seems to think that these girls are from North not Central, and are lying because of the Pickerington rivalry/hatred. Who knows, he may be guilty, he may be not. All I know is whether he is guilty or not, I'm happy he's not coming to OSU anymore. I wish him the best of luck and understand that he is supposed to be "innocent until proven guilty" but it's not a right to go to school at OSU and I want to protect that standard of excellence.
You can't say Carter should have his scholly pulled when it turned out the stuff didn't happen, as in the girl made it up. That's not exactly putting yourself in a bad situation.
Remember someone saying he was a bit of a thug...........could be right.
vacuuming sucks
A link might be of benefit here...just sayin'

well if he wasn't gone already, he is now, and probably wont get any other offers from MACs either.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens

For this kid's sake, let's hope this is another Chris Carter situation.
Yes, but this is becoming a bad NSD trend for OSU targets.

Shendig
Yeah, because methodically undressing and fondling girls under false pretense while keeping a written record of it is so much better.
Welp...regardless of how true or not this is, it sure does throw a wet blanket on his future.
This doesn't look good, and damn $250,000 bond? Ouch.

@Anonnoym You probably should have posted this article that discusses the charges being dropped.
Check out this guys tweet from last night:

I'm betting money Miami (the U) goes after him now they love those felony charges, pushes him up a few stars in their book lol

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
Carter should have had his scholly pulled and so should Lewis.
Don't put yourself in this position and you won't have this problem. Recruits shouldn't get any slack for these mistakes.

Did a girl make it up or did they just not have enough to charge Carter? I thought that was more the case.
Maestro - That was actually me that said he was a liability in the character department, and I forget who it was but I got berated for it...
