Who is our top priorities now? We only have so much room left so we kinda need to be picky.
I say its:
Kyle Dodson
Davonte Neal
Jamal Marcus
Camren Williams

With Neal supposedly not comitting till march, I say replace him with Armani Reeves, and if we get Camren Williams along with Perkins already, we don't need Marcus, so if Bam Bradley really is taking unoffical this weekend I'd replace Marcus with Bam.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I think it is Williams, Reeves, Neal, and Dodson, not much room after that, but you never know it may open up a little.
Williams should be high on the list Reeves should be on that list too especially since were getting thin at DB I would love to see dodson/diamond Neal/Fabian Moreau (who's been flying under the radar but very solid) Jamal Marcus idk too much about
I think that Marcus's highlight tape was the most impressive. Why do we absolutely need Reeves? Id rather take another LB than a secondary player. Even with the recent transfers.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
I think because we are so thin at Corner, I think we need Reeves, and if it helps us get Williams I am all for it. I hope the silent commit thing from Williams is true.
were thin at DB thats the only reason i was suggesting it i don't think we have a lot of depth aside from doran grant that i can think of reeves would be the best db in our class if we signed him, although looking ahead next years class looks like we could get a lot of solid DB's out of
Any way we'd move Christian Bryant back to CB?
I think were ok in the secondary. Barnett, Bryant, Doran Grant, Roby, Howard, plus Bogard and Powell from this class. For LB's we only really have sabino (next year only), Shazier, Curtis Grant plus the ones in this years class. imo, id rather have marcus than reeves. If we have to get reeves to get williams then I guess we have to take him
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
I don't think we get Williams without Reeves. They seem to be a package deal (worth it considering both very talented)
Neal, Williams, Reeves, Dodson.
Then so be it. Is there anyway we take Marcus, Neal, Williams, Reeves, and Dodson? Or do we not have enough room?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
idk if we have enough room if we can't get Neal i wouldn't mind taking Fabian Moreau he looked pretty solid and very fast on film if he's interested I know he's a UCLA verbal but supposively has some interest in Ohio State, O I just watched Jamal Marcus highlight film. He looks very solid off the edge rushing. Could play like a Nate Williams stand up DE. Hopefully he's good back in coverage and can convert to OLB
In this LB class we already have Perry, Roberts, and now Perkins. If we get Williams that's 4 in this class; that's plenty I think. I think Reeves is a bigger priority; he's a top 20 CB and we need a little more depth.
As for this year's DB recruits, let's not forget we also have Murray (who just earned his 4th star on Rivals). However, I do think it would still be nice to land another high quality DB like Reeves especially if we land another high quality LB like Cam. :-)
Obviously, true O Tackles are still a priority.
The OT recruiting has been curious. We have seen lots of acitivty in other areas of need such as LB and DB but we haven't seen any visits by OTs since Diamond/Dodson. So either...
Edit: That isn't quite right, Decker visited but you get my meaning. Not much activity given the need.
1. They couldn't find anybody else who wanted to visit.
2. They are confident one of Diamond/Dodson will commit.
3 They aren't going to take another OL.
I think Alex is right and Dodson is in. I sure hope that's right.
At least three 2013 probable OT recruits have been offered so far.
OL
Logan Tuley-Tillman: 6'7" 280 lbs; Manual HS, Peoria, Illinois (12/15/2011)
Jake Raulerson: 6'5" 250 lbs; Celina HS, Celina, Texas (12/15/2011)
Ethan Pocic: 6'7" 286 lbs; Lemont HS, Lemont, Illinois (01/10/2012)
Maybe there aren't many OTs left on the board for 2012? They were able to get Decker to flip from ND, so that was a win. Plus, we'll have Reid Fragel moving to OT. I'm sure the staff in staying in touch with Dodson and Diamond.
EDIT: Actually, there's a 4th name since Derwin Gray was offered.

Gosh, I wish Urban had this whole year to recruit. It seemed like a pretty good year talent wise. He would not of wasted schollies on decent players. We would have been able to get Neal, Moreau and maybe one more skill player. We would have gotten Marcus, Reeves and Williams no prob. Ugh.

I guess there is little hope for Diamond in the S&G. TSUN is recruiting him pretty hard, but he is the top recruit for this class IMO.
VA ATH Joel Caleb, and AZ WR Davonte Neal being the other target. Neal is taking his time making a decision even after visiting Columbus, so that sends up red flags for me. If I had to guess, it would be Caleb or no one at ATH in the class, but there is still a tiny bit of time for some more names to pop up.
I'm glad that things didn't work out for Urban to recruit sooner. I really love TPOW. Even if he doesn't contribute much on the field, some of my favorite years following OSU was when Mr. Trillion himself was keeping a blog.
Yeah Powells blogs are crazy good. He is the definition of a Buckeye without actually being one yet. Still, for the purpose of the team I would have wanted Urban to have the whole year.

I had seen something on 24/7 sports that there was another OT we offered Richard Webb out of MD 6'7 315 although 11w, scout, and rivals did not confirm OSU offered him, probably just a back up plan if Dodson doesn't flip his commitment. I watched a little film of him I saw him play tackle and guard he looks very raw (very poor technique stands straight up every play) but the potential is there (pure raw strength) if Warriner works with him. maybe another option for the class since we're thin at tackle but I really haven't heard much else about him
Has anyone heard anything about how Neal's visit at Arkansas is going?
Bucknuts is reporting that Urban is going to visit Dodson this week.
One of the recruiting guys just tweeted that Wisconsin just offered at OT that is committed to Northern Illinois. Wonder if this has anything to do with Dodson
Probably a combination of Dodson and Denman, who was committed to UW for a long time but has since opened his recruitment. Losing their OC, OL coach and TE coach has really hurt Wisconsin on a recruiting front and could cost them 2 monster commits.
Plus, these other offers could be backup plans much like the two LB recruits who are supposed to visit OSU this weekend.
Wisconsin just offered 6'7" OT Jake Meador last night, not sure if it is they have real low confidence in losing Dodson. JJ Denman is a soft verbal as well.
