Ok, so is there a rule against playing any more games outside of bowls? What I'm asking is, would the NCAA or any school rule prohibit a real life, "let's settle it on the field" game? If Oklahoma State challenged Bama to a game, winner gets nothing but pride because it obviously won't be recognized by the polls or BCS, could it happen? I'm sure either school would love to host. I'm sure there would be neutral sites that would also love to host and there'd be plenty of options within driving distance for both schools. I would really want to see this game. I didn't watch last nights tilt, because I didn't care. I already saw them play, I know how it went, I don't care. Bama players last night said they would like to play OkSt. Gundy said he wanted a shot at Bama. So, other than the fact that it's all talk, I say, make it happen. Can someone explain to me, other than political and PR crap, why this couldn't happen?

OK State did win their bowl game.
Man... I Googled it before I wrote that because I thought they did. So anyway. Even better. Proves my point. Does anyone know if there are rules against an additional game?

Do I think OK State could or would beat Bama or LSU? I don't think they would, but they could. I would certainly prefer to see it than a re-match.

I'll wait for somebody else to reply because I don't know the rules. I would think extra practices would be forbidden at the very least.
These days it would have to be an NCAA sanctioned game for it to be legal ,plus the NCAA would have to have their fingers in the money pot for it to even be considered. As far as a neutral feild goes its not easy to get the SEC out of the south to play a bg game like that... they have traveled but not often.
A hundred yrs ago that game could very easily happend
O H I O is the Buckeye State
I don't think it's legal; JHC challenged FLA after the Rose Bowl, said he pay....
