Bassplayer, that's my count also. I guess we're expecting a few medical hardship releases though. If we only wind up with 3, I'd like Diamond, Williams and Neal.

edit/But I think Williams and Reeves might be a package deal.

This is what Neal had to say about Ohio State!!

Athlete Davonte Neal took his second official visit of the year this past weekend to Ohio State. Neal had previously visited Notre Dame.

Neal considered the trip somewhat of a coming home party, as he was born in Ohio and lived there until he was seven.

“The last time I saw Ohio State, I think I was in the second grade,” Neal said. “I really liked it there. It felt familiar, but there has also been a ton of changes. I think what stood out most was the academic center and the support the players get from the tutors and counselors. They keep the football players accountable and that’s important to me. I loved the campus, and the new dorms they’re building are real nice.

“The football facilities were incredible, everything is state of the art. I love the stadium. That Horseshoe is really cool, and I got along great with the players. They’re all just regular guys like me, no one had any big egos or anything like that. We all just hung out and joked around and played video games all night.”

Neal said the coaching staff and especially Urban Meyer, were very impressive as well.

“Coach Meyer is pretty incredible,” Neal said. “I can see why he’s such a good recruiter and so good in the homes. He can really relate well to players, and I love how he carries himself. He has a lot of swagger for sure, and I had some great talks with him. He’s funny and can tell a great story but also knows when to be serious. They’re recruiting me as a slot receiver and he said they want to use me the same he used Percy Harvin at Florida.

“Overall, this was a great visit, and I really felt comfortable. Notre Dame was great, too. The two schools are different in a lot of ways but also similar. I think just because of how comfortable I was at Ohio State, this was probably my best visit, but I’m not ready to name a leader or anything. I’m just saying this was my favorite visit but I have three more to go.”

Related to 2013, Marc Givler tweeted that Cam Burrows is announcing his college choice at 4:30pm on Thursday at his high school.  Anybody have an inside scoop on this?  Are we still thinking tOSU?

Anyone hear anything about Jamal Marcus. On tape he looks like an absolute monster.

Do you know the chances he commits? cause I read somewhere he would rather stay close to home.

Yeah if he visits I like our chances. Urban is sooo good at sealing the deal when he gets them on campus. I cannot think of any recruits who have visited while Urban has become coach, who have commited elsewhere. I know some who have not commited at all, but I do not know of anyone who decided to go elsewhere and told Urban no.

The chart I linked above does take into account the departures of Cash, Gambrell, and Clarke.

I understand your concern, but that issue should be resolved fairly soon I'd think.  As for Burrows, somebody on Buckeye Planet said he was in C'bus yesterday.  Any confirmation from those in the know would be fantastic.

Burrows is one of the top 6 players in the country according to rivals.  One of their only 5* for 2013 so far.

Anyone following Gunner Kiel today (#1 QB in the country by some)?  Kid was supposed to be an early enrollee at LSU, then apparently today he didn't show up and is going to be at ND tomorrow to enroll.  Now LSU insiders are saying they still expect him there.  Off topic for OSU but still insane

Williams commits wed! Reeves maybe! As for numbers Urban can take what he needs> There will be room because of at least 1 more Med Hardship! 1 current commit may not make grades to get in. Aslo a couple more may transfer & then there is J. Berry court case, he may be gone!  

DeVante Harris has committed to Texas A&M, I wonder if he'll still take the visit to OSU on the 27th

Berry hasn't been in trouble since Urban came in.

In terms of being apologetic, Clarke on Twitter seems like his world is falling apart. I really wished Urban worked something out with him like take him off scholarship and make him earn it back by staying out of trouble, doing well in school, and being a positive influence in the community. I really feel for the kid and I hope he rebounds in a big way and eventually faces Bama and knocks Duron Carter the hell out. Now Carter is a moronic brat that needed the boot.

@RDUBS: Berry is probably still around because his transgressions took place before Urban arrived. I would assume Urban is making a conscious effort not to hold past problems against players, but is quickly dealing with any issues that happen on his watch.

Alex, did you notice that Bogard had some comment on him doing a lot of thinking on Twitter by the way? I'm not sure how to read that, really... But I found it interesting. Could have nothing to do with football or everything to do with it. 

Se'Von Pittman addressed the rumor that he was unhappy with his commitment to Ohio State. 

"That is not true at all and please put the truth out there," Pittman stated tonight (Tuesday night). "I don't know where that started, but it is not true. I am 100% a Buckeye."

That's why I said it was silly lol but I just thought people would like to know either way :p

Has Diamond actually said anything to make you think that or just because he's taking visits?  I haven't really read much about the kid and almost think he may go elsewhere since Decker, O'Connor(though he'll probably be a guard), and hopefully Dodson will be signing on.  Anyway, if the kid is really good, I want him period.  Urban will whip him into shape on the Diva side of things, and if he still has those issues after coming to the program, well he won't last long. 

Diamond's twitter is what i am basing a lot of it off of. He isn't lacking confidence at all. I have heard that he may wait until after signing day to make a decision. Players that have done these things in the past have not worked so well. (Henderson, Brown...)

We are at 22 with 3 maybes. The maybes being Bogard, Lewis & Southward. My spreadsheet has us at 78 right now & I have Berry gone and the 3 maybes not included. We could take 7 more with attrition of 3 before Fall or we could take just 4 more. I think there will be further attrition of at least three and that probably 2 of the maybes are not in this class.

As 11W gained popularity it was inevitable that some dickhead posters would show up.

No it doesn't. It makes me someone who knows about a kid's character. I truly don't know how he is making the grades, and he's been kicked out of practices and almost off the team because of his attitude. The fact that he's an OSU recruit doesn't make him impervious to criticism. The kid is a loose cannon and a low-character type of kid that we DON'T need. Grow up, Northbrook.

Four-star cornerback Kenneth Crawley out of Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson is closing in on a decision. In fact, the 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is focused on a handful of schools with a decision date coming. Schools narrowed down to Ohio State, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State and Oklahoma.

No, but we offered him and Ohio State is still on his list. He has only visited Colorado so far. He might go there.

Bam Bradley cancels his Michigan State visit this weekend and is thinking about making another visit to Ohio State. Bam is down to 3 schools, OSU Pitt and Stanford.

Kyle Dodson has scheduled a visit to MSU tomorrow. Already visited Auburn, USC and currently a soft commit for Wisconsin. 

Sounds like Jamal Marcus has moved OSU up to the top of his board. He's only taking one official visit, and it's us. I doubt he leaves uncommitted.  

As far as Neal goes, we will have room. If it's coming down to it where it might be a question, I have no doubt Urban will get the job done.

@Matt It was Dymonte Thomas himself, he tweeted "How did everyone find out that Urban Myers is coming to my school tomorrow?" and supposedly he's going to be decked out in Michigan gear when Urban pays him a visit.
