This is really for anyone who would have an answer. Since I joined the site in December, I am unsure as to how this was taken care of in the past. I tried to look back in the forum history, but was unsuccessful in finding any information regarding this topic.
What is the deal/how will 11W go about reporting/announcing who signs and when on NSD? Is it going to be a massive bombardment of gray boxes, or is there like a special, 1-time ticker that scrolls across the top of the page (wishful thinking), or some kind of automated texting service that we need to put our numbers in a database to get updates (may be looking too far out the box on this one)?
Just wondering if there was a protocol on updates or not, like I said, I was not here last NSD and I was unable to bring up/locate info from the past on this topic. Thanks.

My NSD plan includes putting Alex's twitter on a text notification. Achieves essentialy the same thing as an 11w text but won't cost them any money.

I can't do that with my phone. I am living in the middle ages... I hate my phone, haha

If you have standard text messages it should work. You sign up online, they send you a verification text, then you can text straight to twitter and you can sign up to have tweets sent to your phone via SMS. I don't think the quality of the phone should matter.
