Confirmed that freshman S Jeremy Cash will transfer. No reason given as of this time and it is assumed he will transfer somewhere closer to his home in Florida.

Anyone know why? Alex?
Suuuuuuuucks. Best of luck to him.
Ok thanks, do you think that this will have any effect on Shazier? Same high school and from what I heard Cash had a lot too do with him coming here.
Sick of the snow?
Damn - I remember watching this kid's highlight real. Reminded me of Donte Whitner...
Keep Calm and Ignore the Trolls.
Probly because of the growth of illicit Urbz,at TOSU.Sure he won't be the last now that we are ND east. This too shall pass.
I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
I think he will end up at Florida, Florida St or Arizona St since he did visit ASUs campus last year before committing to OSU
Really a shame, as he sounded like a good kid and chose OSU for the right reasons (from his Better Know a Buckeye):
Which maybe says something to losing Tressel and safeties coach Paul Haynes as a big part of his wanting to transfer. While not enough great things can be said about Meyer the coach and recruiter, I think we sometimes lose in all this new excitement how good of a recruiter Tressel was, and how much players loved him. Not saying that Meyer is bad in any way, just different and not what some kids will have signed up for. One of the threads on Buckeyeplanet noted some interest in Duke, so it may not all be about him coming home. He had a high GPA coming in and apparently some aspirations to work in healthcare, so Duke certainly wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. He would certainly climb up their depth chart and if the NFL didn't work out, he'd be in good shape for life post grad (and be closer to home).
You have to think, though, unlikely to have an effect on Shazier, as their playing situations have been different. With Shazier making headlines and being a likely starter next year, and Cash fighting to crack the two deep, it may just be a writing on the wall situation as much as anything. Or was it simply fate? Things could have been different if Shazier had been the one paired up with Ron Tanner as a roommate. I mean, a man needs his sleep.
He's apparently going to Arky with Taver and Haynes.
wish the kid luck; doesn't seem like he left b/c he didn't like OSU; liked his position coaches more
