In light of the story a few weeks back about the basketball player not being allowed to transfer, it's refreshing to see a college coach who has his priorities straight. Best of luck to Arnett and his father

In the end Dooley did the right thing and let Arnett out...
Originally though he did not and Arnett had to take his fight (semi) public before the coach allowed him to leave. Originally he was only going to allow him to transfer to a MAC school.
Doesn't seem fair to me that the NCAA can force a student athlete to sit out for an entire year before playing again, and the COACH and SCHOOL have the right to deny the student athlete the ability to even transfer AND SIT OUT! Meanwhile, if the COACH OR SCHOOL want to, they can end the student-athlete's scholarship after each year.
What about the coaches?
However he is apparently on the hot seat and not just for wins and losses. He is apparently a total D-bag that drops 4 letter words directed at players like they're candy on Halloween. I don't mind a little cussing, but when it gets so bad that people are writing about it, you might want to tone it down a bit.
Also he only made this move fairly grudgingly so I don't even really give him a win for this one.
Here's hoping the kid goes to MSU.
