He is saying he plans to visit Wisconsin on the 20th, then OSU on the 27th, but I still think Penn State will land him and he'll stay close to home. Just thought everyone should know.

Reported reason Cox was asked to postpone is we already had 5 set for official visits this weekend. I'm not sure why 5 is a magic number but I wonder who those 5 are. Decker, O'Conner, Perkins, Neal and ?.
I'd be surprised if Cox ever visits.
Yeah, there are only 4 visits this weekend that are known to the public, plus Armani Reeves is making a visit mid week (18th) so idk if that counts toward to the 5, and Cam Williams is making an unoffical visit as well alongside Reeves. That will be a 2 for 1 deal in my eyes.
I think the 5 visit excuse is BS personally
Yeah, that is what I thought too & why I did not expect Cox to ever visit.
It is what it is, but just reporting what he said earlier, anything can happen
Rumor over at BuckNuts is Cam Williams is recruiting Reeves...
Demetrious Cox has two visits left and three teams vying for them. Cox decided on one of those teams and visits (Today) Tuesday.
On Friday, Cox will officially visit Ohio State instead of Notre Dame and Wisconsin. He originally was planning to visit Columbus this past weekend but went to Penn State instead.
Buckeyes coaches Urban Meyer and Luke Fickell visited with Cox today (Tuesday). Penn State assistant Larry Johnson and two other Lions assistants, and Wisconsin assistant Chris Ash and a few other Badgers coaches also visited Cox at the school.
Possibly an indication that Bogard or Bradley not coming? Please tell me this kid doesn't know Sarniak.
PA S Demetrious Cox will be visiting Columbus with his father starting tonight. After he was told to delay his visit last weekend, it seemed like Ohio State was cooling on his recruitment. However, with this visit things seem to be picking up again. Are the Buckeyes targeting a safety prospect? or are they just going after another DB?
Bob Lichtenfels is reporting on Twitter that Cox will announce his decision with Bob Pompeani on CBS Pittsburgh KDKA. He isn't sure what time, but he's guessing on LOI day.
Cox likely announcing Signing Day is what I heard too....Dodson probably a few days before....Neal mid-late Feb....Diamond Feb 3.....Bradley on Signing Day....Reeves I expect this week.....Marcus I expect this week.....
Going to be a fun week
@BobLichtenfels
Hearing rumors that a PA prospect has committed. Apparently they originated on a ND forum passed along by BP. Anyone else hearing this?
I've heard the rumor as well, but no confirmation...
rumor is Cox...don't think it's true just yet but will try to find out!
Apparently Mr. Lichtenfels has confirmed the rumor about Cox is NOT true.
there you go....could be a case of he decided but isn't ready to announce, but still think this is OSU or MSU
Still wondering if he has any connection to Sarniak.
Demetrious Cox @2DC_MyTime_7 S/o to my bro @TerrellePryor for showin some love today n helpin me out
And then.....
Demetrious Cox @2DC_MyTime_7 feel good about the decision I made today ;-)
Thanks Teddy...actually just RT'd that too...very interesting...my bet is TP helped out OSU a bit here :)
Maybe a dumb question.....but we can't get in any sort of trouble for Pryor talking to him, can we? I know he was banned from the program for 5 years or whatever it was.....
Sounds like Cox has chose OSU right after the Pryor tweet.
@2DC_MyTime_7
@TeddyHeisman - Dont think so because hes just a high school kid not affiliated with TOSU until he signs - so until then - no harm no foul.

Teddy,
Don't think so, especially because they have a prior relationship through Jeannette
It sure sounds like Demetrious Cox chose OSU with a little bit of "assistance" or "guidance" from Pryor. This is great to hear & hopefully this is the case. We could really use him in the secondary. This would be a great pick-up for the staff.

Am I the only one who thinks TP may have steered him away from tOSU? Its a possibility...
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Jake if that was the case, I would no longer have what little respect I do have for Pryor, only because of what he did for OSU. After the scandal, I lost some respect for the guy as well as everyone else was involved. I might still be bitter about it but it is what it is.
This tweet comes from our friends Sekrah Sports so take it FWIW folks, retweeted by Buckeye Battle Cry.
I don't think it would be the case, on second thought. Tressel is still an influence in his life, and like it or not, he still has his memories and Ohio State tats (sigh) on his arms.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
I think its more likely Pryor steered him to PSU than to OSU.
Cox had an in-home with Coach Obrien yesterday...
Yeah it seemed PSU was the favorite for Cox early on, but then it cooled for a while.....I thought Cox was MSU or OSU, but maybe PSU is in the mix now...who knows? We all will find out soon enough. Ohio State can use Cox, don't get me wrong, but is it a HUGE loss? No. Probably a bigger gain for Sparty or PSU. That being said, would love to ham either him or Bam Bradley. Just can't see Urban getting outrecruited by Bill O'Brien this late in the game unless PSU was the place Cox really wanted to go to the whole time.
And NO WAY Pryor told Cox to go to Penn State. Pryor LOVES Ohio State despite what some of you think. I actually don't think he told him to go anywhere. I'm sure he said I'd love to see you as a Buckeye but more than likely he just helped him way his pros and cons and make a decision.
Don't put stock in what "Sekrah" said.......that dude said Les Miles or Saban was going to Penn State haha
Alex, I believe what you have said is somewhat true. Your words sound alittle but waivering on Cox than in the past.
Capn, Make It So...
Alex - I wouldn't bash Sekrah too hard for the Miles-PSU miss. His story is that a trusted source told him Miles was interested and he extrapolated that to the logical conclusion that PSU would hire him because, well, why the hell wouldn't they? He owned up to taking a chance on what should have been a slam dunk based on his info. You've got to give him credit for that at least.
Not bashing Sekrah, just saying credibility is a bit down right now and I think for making that 'bold" move of running with the Miles thing that further validates my suspicisons....If I am wrong on Kyle Dodson to OSU, I will eat crow and admit I was wrong....I can easily tell you guys "well Kyle's best friend told me he was a Buckeye so that's why I was wrong" but I wouldn't do that if that's what really happened---I would just say I was wrong...I don't think I'd predict Dodson to OSU if I wasn't 90% sure like I am, while also caveating that there is a very small chance that may not happen...predicting Miles to Penn State was 0% chance IMO and Sekrah ran with it like it was 99% done....I don't know how you can publicly run with that story.....
^^^^HAHA You have to be kidding me....Do you honestly believe what you said? The thought that a "source" told him that Les Miles would leave LSU, where he will have believe it or not, a better team than this year's LSU team is ridiculous irregardless of the amount of money he would make. He is already one of the highest paid coaches in the NCAA.
"I don't know how you can publicly run with that story....."
Two words:
Internet anonymity
Les Miles has eaten grass off of a football field on television, so I don't really think his behavior is predictable along the normal human spectrum.
What's the alternative story? That this Sekrah person completely made up the whole story just to string along fans of a team that he is clearly also a fan of, even being called out by other semi-prominent PSU bloggers and accused of being a trolling Buckeye fan with the endgame being... what, exactly? Shits and giggles? And if that's the case, then why does he continue to tweet PSU-related stories?
Do I think Les Miles wanted to leave LSU? Of course not. Why would he? That's crazy. But sometimes people do things for reasons that aren't readily apparent or don't conform to an accepted pattern of behavior. It's not like PSU is Pitt or Cincinnati. It's a good, historical program. Maybe there was some appeal to that job for Miles that we simply don't know about.
Or maybe Sekrah's source misunderstood something, or maybe Sekrah did.
Obviously, taking what was really a very small nugget and translating it into a "done deal" was a huge mistake if Sekrah's goal was to establish a reputation. But keep in mind that ESPN and a number of other "reputable" outlets make erroneous reports all the time and barely ever even acknowledge it. At least Sekrah owned up to it and he's still (obviously) paying the price for being wrong.
But being wrong once doesn't make you wrong all the time.
^but it does ruin your credibility
Anyone who honestly thought Miles and Saban we're going to Penn State after that fiasco in not a believable source.
At this point I would guess that 85-90% of all recruits know where they will go. Free days out of high school and the chance to go behind the scenes of major colleges are some reasons for late visits. Not necessary interest in going to that particular college .
"Boobie twistin Moochicken fans since 1976"
@RecruitBuck - Then who has credibility? Everybody gets stuff wrong. If this Sekrah person is serious (and who knows) then yeah, he's got to be more careful to build up a foundation so he can overcome those things in the future, but it certainly doesn't make every single thing he says suspect (just maybe the outlandish things). But, hey, if I thought I had a huge scoop like that, I might do the same thing.
@BillyBucksFan - What about the people who believed Urban Meyer was going to OSU after THAT fiasco? (Not comparing, just saying... the exact same argument was made.)
interesting, majority of ESPN "Experts" have cox going to MSU, with one to PSU and the last to OSU. Neal is viewed as primarily OSU commit, Marcus is on the fence, and Diggs is a lost cause, according to the 'experts'
http://insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id...
not sure if you can read it if you are not an insider
Can't believe any of those guys, though, because they were each wrong at least once.
Can you let it go Jason? People have different opinions about different people. Just because yours is different than other posters doesn't make yours any more right. You made your point.
MSU scares me with Cox.....
I'll take Marcus and Neil over Cox and Diggs anyday.
I don't think Sekrah loses credibility, just didn't like the way he went about the Miles thing....people can be wrong....I will probably be wrong on my prediction of one of, if not more of Dodson, Reeves, Marcus being Buckeyes....the difference in my book is don't say you KNOW anything....as I said from what I am told, I can say I am predicting 90% chance Dodson goes to Ohio State...if he goes to USC or MSU I will say I was wrong...but I never claimed to KNOW Dodson was going to be a Buckeye only to be proven wrong.....that's my problem with what Sekrah did in telling people he knew who the next coach would be and that it would be a "mind blowing" hire
Sekrah :)
One should be very careful when listening to Sekrah. Never know who might be behind that name.
I'm hearing Cox is now recruiting for MSU.
yeah looks like Cox to MSU
Are there any good safeties on next years class if we don't land Cox or Bradley?
Detriot Free Press is saying he's going to pick MSU, any second now on the decision
