NOTE: This was originally a Bollman walrus joke photo posted as a momentary work distraction. Somehow I missed the memo that Bollman walrus jokes are now unacceptable on 11W. Anyway, replaced with:
ESPN's take on OSU's recruiting... somehow we are ranked lower there than anywhere else.

REALLY classless.....immature humor
That's so wrong. I did laugh though.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Not cool man. I know one of his daughters and my heart skipped a beat reading the headline.
I know we all hated the guys playcalling, but is this really necessary? Now he's Boston College's problem.
OK... sorry, content changed. Holy cow... I'm a biologist and was searching for something (actually completely un-walrus related) and this picture popped up and that line immediately popped into mind. Maybe not the best decision ever, forgive me. I'm working about 80 hours a week right now and maybe delirium got the best of me.
Good call changing the content. About your new topic, it's just classic ESPN bias towards Ohio State. That's why I never base anything recruiting related off of something I heard from ESPN
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
@LABuckeye it's okay, ha maybe we're all just taking ourselves a little overly serious today
Seems like it. I thought it was harmless.

I was pretty happy that I had posted regularly on here, oftentimes in an attempt (sometimes bad attempt) at humor, and never managed to have disagreements or piss someone off - at least not to the point they said anything. I guess there is a first time for everything...
I personally didn't think the original content was an issue...if you didn't like it, don't read it....convinced if Ramzy put the same thing up everyone would be laughing hysterically at it...I was indifferent towards the post but I wasn't going to make the original poster pull it down or anything....to each his/her own I guess
Is there a way to just take forum posts down? I couldn't find one.
I did see it, I was concerned at first, then the picture came up, kind of let out a "WTF" at work on accident because of it, but I did chuckle a bit....
Yeah, I guess I didn't see the foul, either.
I didn't see anything wrong with it either. Why were they upset?
Anyone who has been a victim of home invasions does not find it funny.
Crazykg: but is that the standard now?
Anyone who has been a victim of . . . [does not find it funny], so no more jokes pertaining to:
Crazy vindictive ex-girlfriends
Overly-enthusiastic TSA gropers
Crimson Tide teabaggers
Crimson Tide forest management specialists
Higher bidders from Auburn University
I'm actually kind of curious now to see what the original post was. It's like being stuck at the kid's table with lots of kids years younger than you for Thanksgiving.
meh...let them drink their tea with their pinky out...the real dick tapper for me is scout.com has us tied..TIED..with M*ch*gan lol...out of all the points that go into that and rankings...how the crap is anyone ever tied let alone w/ that TTUN...kinda funny actually

Run_Fido_Run :
I get it.However, it was still a bad joke. Either way, the original post was taken down.Either way, when your wife has been locked in her own closet by a man a ski mask, it makes all of the other things you listed freaking hysterical.
Scout.com seems to have the worst evaluations, along similar lines as ESPN's. But either way, I think our new staff has the potential to let our 4 and 5 star recruits develope into high nfl draft picks and NCAA All americans. Let them all underestimate our class.
I think the problem was that all we could read on the front page was a pretty scary headline. Saying "Breaking" made it seem that much more urgent. I have to admit that I was worried when I clicked the link that something bad had happened. Once I saw the picture, I did laugh. To me the problem was that the punch line was too far removed and people had a couple seconds to get worked up. As much as people didn't like his coaching no one would wish this on anyone (even Gary Moeller).
Crazykg: I didn't see the original post. Maybe it was in poor taste, but I'm a stickler for the idea that, if you try lay down a general principle, it must apply more generally. So, I was making light of your comment, with no harm intended, not endorsing the original post. So, while I can be an a--hole, I'm not really a douche.
Yea, I apologize...Its kind of hard to get the correct tone across in the internet. 6 months ago and still pretty fresh-im still a little sensitive like a 5 year old girl.
CRAZYKG - I will reiterate again my apology. It never occurred to me that anyone would take the forum title seriously. Perhaps it should have, but I didn't really think about it... it was posted in the middle of writing two project proposals and dealing with hiring new staff at my company. I really meant my apology, and I feel like an ass that it caused such an uproar.
Dude, you did well. You removed it before it really got out of hand and switched it to another topic. Another forum title and/or punch line and it would have made it through because we all love the Walrus jokes.
There was nothing wrong with the original post. Sensitivity in society appears to be at an all time high, it was a joke, if you can't take a joke you shouldn't read most anything Ramzy (or the rest of 11w for that matters) writes. As far as ESPiN goes, we all know they suck. Rivals and 247 seem to be on top of things. But nobody trumps Alex.
sensitivity is definitely at an all time high. nothing wrong with what was posted and the humor about it. Ok, you were the victim of home invasion, I get it. but i was assaulted and had my jaw broken, hasnt stopped me from laughing at movies like jackass, or enjoying movies where people get the shit beat out of em. you learn to move on
Haters gotta hate.
+1 Re: Dana
Society is what it is. Say what you want, and as long as it isn't explicit and it appeals to at least a small contigency of the audience (us 11w fans), you'll be fine. There will always be someone who objects to everything because they're too sensitive.
Another thought about ESPiN: they didn't even have OSU listed as Davonte Neal's "Considering Schools" during the UA game.
F em - if they develop the recruits and have success with them then I could give a flying shit where anyone has the class ranked. Plenty of schools have done a lot with a lot less. Things are looking up.
The first post gave me a giggle...sorry.
