Given how close these guys are, and looking at us compared to their options (mainly, UM and PSU), have to feel good about this one. Slam dunk good. Armani, just as a simple side by side comparison, in one corner, we have former Nitt's Justin King and Bryan Scott in the professional defensive backfields. M!ch!g@n? Stevie Brown, Leon Hall, Morgan Trent, and Charles Woodson (he's still playing?). In the other corner, we have Will Allen, Kurt Coleman, Chris Gamble, Jermale Hines, Malcom Jenkins, Donald Washington, Antoine Winfield, and Ashton Youboty, Chimdi Chekwa... you get the idea.
Lets not get started on defensive coaching. For PSU, I give you, John Butler, who's last gig coaching DB's was as safeties coach at Southwest Texas State for like all of a year (and that wasn't yesterday). Yes, a year - that is to say, 6 less than our Withers spent coaching the NFL's Titans. At least he'll be a marginal coach on special teams for ya! Or maybe not. Then there's this:
"I said, 'Coach Butler, do you realize you're on television right now acting like an idiot trying to demonstrate how to kick the ball?' " Spurrier said. "Hopefully we can get better" next season.
M!ch!g@n? Well they got this guy. He at least manages to match Wither's time with the Titans (granted, at various MAC level programs coaching db's), but then Withers also has those 17 years at the collegiate level as well. I'm sure he's nice though. But then Coach W is a pretty nice guy too. Hope Armani and Cam enjoy their visits. I think both these student athletes and our Buckeye FB program have a lot to offer each other!
Spoke to someone who was with Armani yesterday...said he was torn and 50/50 to OSU
Sox33OSU---Marcus actually visited ECU last weekend and has narrowed things down to 2 schools....ECU and OSU....if everything is straight up, OSU wins easy....grades are rumored to be an issue and room for OSU commits is an issue...if he goes to ECU I don't think it will be because Urban lost heads up to them
@Sox Yes it was an official visit last week and Marcus would be in a Demarcus Ware type of role in my opinion, play some Weak Side DE and OLB. OSU wins over ECU, Withers is my reason why.
According to their twitter feeds, sounds like he and Williams are not in town yet.

Camren just confirmed him and Armani are on their way to Columbus
Armani and Camren just landed in Philly, taking next plane to CBus

Gotta figure this is only going to be a matter of time...
agree Sox
Alex - What do you make of Marcus only scheduling one official (OSU)?

Was the ECU visit unofficial? Can't find anything that shows an official visit aside from ours.
Also, where would he play?

Reeves is going to host Brady Hoke tomorrow for an in home visit.
"Armani... ahh dughh gahh...aghh... you know what? ahh...I, ehhh, ughh... Brady Hoke, and...ughhh... wohh ohh owww...uaghh..."
Alex, when you said Armani as torn 50/50, was that between osu and um or osu and psu?
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Maybe he wants to tell Jabba the Hoke face-to-face that he's joining Buckeye Nation!
