sox33OSU: honestly as long as we got guys coming up behind him not that disappointing. I would still rather have him than send him up north, especially when it is head-to-head like this... But I get your point his decision has been hyped nearly as much as Pryors' (at least among OSU and ttun fans).
it all depends on how he handles the opportunity. Under the right mentor, he should excel. I feel we got the right mentor

I've got some connections to high school coaches, esp. in the area I'm in (western PA)....and I have some other (early) good news on Robert Foster --- "Ohio State has as good a chance of landing him as anybody". In fact, I've heard he is an OSU lean...and he wants to go to a school with great tradition, that has a high chance of winning it all. So, obviously OSU is right up there. Pitt, on the other hand -- they don't meet the latter requirement. If OSU has a strong, momentous 2012 season...I see no reason why Foster won't commit to the Buckeyes by the end of the fall, and it'd be hard for Foster to not commit to OSU before 2013.

I'm telling you -- Foster is an early Buckeyes lean.
I watched him in person vs. Rushel Shell's Hopewell & leading up to the game - everybody kept talking about Shell this & that. But...by far, the best player on the field was Robert Foster. He was hurt and came back in to finish the game. He so athletic, and fast --- but he's also tough. Shell is a bit overrated, IMO. Foster looked like a stud out there at WR, but he also looked like he could be a top 10 DB recruit.

1 down & four 2 go! Dodson is obviously coming to (if not already committed) OSU. Jamal Marcus obviously wants to be apart of BuckeyeNation & I personally believe along with alot of others that on Wed, he'll also be a buckeye. As far as Stefon Diggs goes, he obviously has a lot of thinking to do (has a visit to Maryland on the 10th, I just can't see him going to Maryland).
Honestly as far as Neal goes, Ive cooled on him (even though back a while ago Alex said he thought it was 50/50 OSU-ARIZ)....hopefully he chooses the Bucks, but if we land 3 out of the 4 to finish out the class that would be amazing & it's definitely a valid possibility.
Alex, what do you see as of right now regarding the "final 4" so to speak. The "final 4" being Marcus, Dodson, Diggs, & Neal. Thanks man for your insight & feedback as we all appreciate it.

If I can weigh in CAPN -
Florida doesn't really even have an established offense currently. Muschamp isn't an offensive guy and little is known about Weis' replacement.
Auburn had a great run with Cam, but has done little for the most part to establish itself as an elite program.
Maryland is, well, Maryland.
OSU is closer to home than the first 2, and has a more established offense that also happens to match Diggs' skillset perfectly. Couple that with the recent track record of success with OSU WRs and the draft (four 1st-rounders in the last 8 years, eight overall in the last 8 years), and it seems like a no-brainer.
It should, Shouldn't it. Yet, He is Still Thinking.... But of what?

Hahaha... Tru Dat Alex.... I'm just trying to figure him out! These guys really spark me curiosity why they make the choices they do. This is why I come in this sight! (that and I'm a diehard BUCKEYE fan) I'm really fasinated by the work you do Alex. Which also perks my interest on how you come about your picks! Yes, inside information, some guessing but even when you guess you had come put on the plus side. That's what gets me to ask. Sure why not commit but what brings them to it and why is your hunches so accurate.
