41-14 = 27 = 3^3, but also, three is the number of times you need to do something until it gets accomplished, hence "Third time's a charm." --> Lucky Charms, a delicsious treat that gives kids sugar highs and contributes, in my opinion to the increased slef-diagnosis by parnets of their kids of ADD. ADD 41 and 14 = 55. 41 is 14 backwards, and 55 is the same integer with the same digit in the tens and singles place.... Singles place is somewhere for those who are unable to find girlfriends or have meaningful relationships. A meaningful relationship is impossible this day and age..... Mission impossible is a great movie that I feel is being drawn out like a spelling bee is on ESPN network. Spelling is important this day and age because, if you can't spell correctly, then no one takes you serious. which brings me to my final point of the day.... YOU SPELLED WOODY HAYES WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the start of the sports year from hell for any Cleveland fans. The Buckeyes went down in flames, the Cavs got swept in the Finals, and the Indians could not finish off the Boston Red Sox despite a 3-1 series lead in the ALCS (and I am positive that, despite the Cleveland curse, they would have beat the Colorado Rockies in the WS that year). 2007 was a painful year.
One player on the team who was a freshman at the time told me interesting stories about both MNC title games. What you have to know about 41-14 is that the upper classmen were talking for weeks how they were going to roll Florida and it would be easy. They were cocky, went out partying and didn't prepare properly. As a frosh this player didn't have the guts to say anything but that's what happened.
It was, and still is, the most awful experience I've had as a Buckeye fan. Yeah, the tat-5 thing and everything that followed, such as Gee's comments, Smith being an idiot, Tressel lying, were all pretty tough. But those things can be washed away with a new coach, a new identity, and those players leaving.
The point of the football team is to compete on the football field. There were so many things that happened that night on the field that not only perpetuated the stereotypes about the competitiveness of Ohio State and Big Ten football, rightly or wrongly, but set into motion a cascade of events from which Ohio State and the sport as a whole still hasn't recovered. We still haven't technically beaten an SEC team in a bowl. The SEC hasn't lost a national championship since. That game started a big game skid (2007 LSU, 2008 USC, 2008 Penn State, 2008 Texas, 2009 USC - my God, that game is probably my #2 inexcusable loss) for Ohio State that didn't end until January 1st, 2010 when they beat a top-10 Oregon team...which is still the only big win on the record books since that fateful night in Glendale.
The scar that game left on Ohio State and the rest of the Big Ten still hasn't healed. That's the way I see it, anyway. If other people have moved on, that's great. I wish I could. I don't think I ever will, honestly.
41-14? When did that happen? Ancient history as far as I'm concerned. Not like there are programs out there that haven't been beaten that badly before.
If that game proved one thing, it's that national championships are won with killer defensive lines with speed on the edge. Spence and Washington anyone?
I had a knee replaced in Dec 06 and suffered a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clot) about a week before the game. After having a PE and being very close to death I was more thankful to be still alive than who won the NCG. Games will come and go but the best part is I get to watch more of them.
Before the game, I was reading the players were out partying right up until the day before the game. I didn't believe the stories at the time, but I certainly did during and after the game.
Still haven't recovered from that one. 3 buddies and I whiffed on the student lottery that year but went out to Glendale anyways. I almost spent $1000 on a ticket. Watched at a bar instead. Then Ted Ginn Jr. broke his ankle or something on the opening kickoff.....BLURRR from there.
is that your pants size? I am a 36-34... your measurements are very disproportionate
41 - 14 = 27
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
We came in as entitled (fans and players), fat slobs and got hammered by the team that wanted it more that night. Pretty simple.
I was there. It sucked.

You are correct, however, in my beliefs, we are all children of the Lord. But I am not on here to speak of religion
I moved on from the debacle when the next Spring Game was played. It's now nothing more than a vague memory.
My thoughts are now we have the coach who WON that game!
hoody ways, your a Buckeye fan right? what brought you to post that? something you want to tell us?
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Means as much as the War of Jenkin's Ear; ancient history

Class of 2010.

Who gives a shit..that's what I feel about it at this point in time. It's 2012.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.

So, how do, we, feel about too many, misplaced, comm,as?
Isn't there a saying about there being no such thing as a stupid question? I think this one bucks that trend.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'm predicting we beat scUM by that score this year.
@Alex - that player you're referring to wouldn't be Tyler Moeller, would it?
