2 year bowl ban?
further future scholarship reductions?
nothing new to report here, you are on double secret probation, carry on?
I believe the NCAA will ban OSU from a bowl after the 2012 season, add 5 more to the self imposed scholarship limitation (over the next 3 years) and then we will be done.
Really, with the investigation having proved that only the tattoo parlor benefits were there, and Jim Tressel lied about his knowledge of this. I believe OSU self imposed sanctions, the firing of Tressel and vacating the 2010 season were/are punishments enough for the proven crime. However, I don't believe the NCAA has drug this out this long to walk away without putting their own stamp of punishment on this case. Go Bucks!

I don't think a bowl ban is warranted given numerous precedents set by infractions at other universities. I could see them raising the total number of scholarship limitations, but adding 5 more to the 5 already self-imposed seems strong as well.
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
I think the ncaa will ad something. They will want to feel some sort of power in this punishment. I just hope it is not a bowl ban. It will only punish the guys left behind while the others got their punishmnet and moved on. In the Urban video he made a comment about the public not really knowing the entire story. I hope he is right and we get our answer next week some time.
Am I the only person still stuck on the OSU attorney saying the NCAA ignored documentation clearing the hours worked/hours paid thing?
The only consistency within the NCAA is the inconsistency of their punishments. For that reason, I'm a bit nervous about what the outcome will be. It's just as likely that the NCAA will find our self imposed sanctions adequate and do nothing else as it is we get a bowl ban and additional scholarship losses.

The only thing the NCAA should do is apolgize for taking the SI fabrication serious.
I fear we may lose a lot more scholarships. With Meyer on board I would hate to limit his great recruiting skills. A new era has begun and the future is bright.
I think no bowl ban...maybe a year more of probation...at most maybe another scholly or 2 per year (go from 5 over 3 years to 10 over 3 years)...I think Gene Smith and the AD knew exactly what they were doing when it came to self imposed sanctions though :)
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the self-imposed sanctions are enough...
I hope the say "You folks have suffered enough".

Howbout..."what were we talking about again? tatoos? and someone lied about it? ok, you're free to go. Whats the best way to get to state college from here?"
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
I think the self imposed stuff will be sufficient, whatever happens though I wish the NCAA would hurry up. They have extended this ruling much longer than needed !
anyone else own a MAGIC 8 BALL?
If we were to receive "probation" what all does that entail? That's not the same as a bowl game correct?
Nice, Buckeye Eddie! :-)
Real fans stay for Carmen.
Dear OSU,
We would like to thank you for not molesting little boys. With that in mind, you're free to go. We're sorry for making such a big deal out of nothing.

info on Scout message board, says NCAA ruling comes out no latter than Tuesday. Anyone know anything?
Not that I'm happy about it, but I had a strange feeling about it. Miami better get sledge hammered come September.
