To be fair, other fanbases are guilty of similar, but let this be a cautionary tale of how not to react to a recruit on Twitter when things don't go your way.

Great posts. Reaffirms that he made the right choice of schools with that reaction. That being said, I totally agree with Flip above, that we probably did the same to Kalis.

I'm sure they are Flip, that's the worst part.

I don't follow recruits (or current players) as a rule. It's just too weird to me.

Re: the creepiness of following high school recruits

I have been following recruiting for a while but I am just now a freshman at OSU (been reading 11w/rivals since 9th grade) and recently faced the conundrum that the recruits are now younger than me. It first hit me when a picture of Brax was in SI. I was about to put it on my wall until i realized he was in the same grade as me. Definitely a turning point haha

Buckeye Chad, just wait until you read a recruiting article about Braxton's son about twenty-five years from now. There's something awful about remembering a great player and when the tv talks about his son they show old grainy clips of the Dad. That's when you realize you thought that old grainy footage was high def back in the day.

CPLUNK - you're right. I'm 38 now and I feel that way all the time. I physically feel young and athletic still (and my time as a student at OSU seems like yesterday), but can't believe guys coming into the program are at the right age to be my kids!

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Michigan run a spread offense with Denard? And with Gardner in the pipeline, they will still utilize a lot of running options out of the spread. But go ahead and think you run a TE\FB run first offense and that its some sort of pro style attack.

Michigan people are stupid. We should throw stones at them.

I have no idea why any high school athlete would be on Twitter or whatever....who needs that crap, posted by twits and cowards? Every fanbase has their toilet scum, Dunn was going to get crap like this no matter what he decided. But seriously, people posting that crap are about the most chicken$hit scum on the planet. They can all die of cancer.

This post, and the tweets displayed by UM fans, highlight how ignornant many UM fans can be. I'm not saying there aren't good people who are UM fans, but the VAST majority of those that I have ever met are obnoxious, ignorant SOBs.

This type of behavior displayed by the UM fans to Dunn is inexcusable and goes against everything a "Michigan Man" should represent. I recently finished reading "Bo's Lasting Lessons:: The Legendary Coach Teaches the Timeless Fundamentals of Leadership" and thought it was a great read. Bo coached the game with honor, intelligence, and principles that combined to help make the OSU/UM rivalry as great as it is today. With that being said, I feel fully confident in saying that Bo would disown individuals like these self-proclaimed UM fans who tweeted at Dunn. There's no place for that type of behavior. period. These immature individuals look at the rivalry as some sort of WWE event- it's simply an event to get "Rah-Rah" upped about without any context or understanding of history, which is sad.

With all of that being said, I would just like to make it clear that I will always and forever root for ANY team that plays scUM to be victorious and that I don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.
