We are not deep at center. Otherwise, Meyer's got options for implementing his attack:

rumblings Reid Fragel could move to tackle........Fragel, Mewhort, Bobek, Linsley, Norwell, and Hall would be a pretty good top 6....add in Underwood, Brown, Carter, Elflein, J. Boren, and maybe Diamond/Dodson and that's a good group...definitely not the greatest strength here but good enought to win
How does Fragel take that?
Damn, Fragel is basically a Ballard Clone at Tight End too. He needs another 20 pounds to even be 285'ish..6'7" 285 is a very thin Offensive Tackle.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Well with Stoney, Vannett, Heuerman and Blake Thomas coming in the team is deep at TE even without Fragel. If he is willing to make the switch it would be worth trying. We saw a little bit of Underwood and Hall at tackle.........yikes.
vacuuming sucks
Fragel at tackle would be very interesting. He has the prototypical frame to play the position, and he clearly isn't close to filled out. Wouldn't have a hard time seeing him being able to provide quality depth at the least, and maybe we get lucky and run into the next Joe Thomas.
Reid Fragel is about 285 right now! Listed at 280 on the official site.....
I am a Houston Texans fan...our two starting tackles were former college tight ends...Duane Brown from VT and Eric Winston from Miami. Brown was a 1st round pick and Winston a STEAL in the 3rd round and now a pro-bowler......I think there are many examples of this (Nate Soldier 1st rounder last year comes to mind) and I think Fragel knows this....a kid as athletic at that will be a hot commodity at LT......Expect his draft stock to move up a couple rounds
Yeah, he probably stands to make a lot more money if he can become a very good tackle instead of a pretty good TE in college.
Alex, good post (as usual). With the depth we'll have at TE, I'd be interested in what Fragel can do at O Tackle.
