Typical Cincinnati.... You know it's in it's own state, right? It's called Oh-tucky.

The Cincinnati media hates Ohio State for some reason I've been unable to figure out.

Cincy is my home town as well, but come Enquirer get with the program.  UC foozball will ALWAYS be little sister to tOSU and now so is their basketball team.  And don't get me started on XU.  My Dad was up from Cincy for Thnxgivng and after The Game he said he was at an XU BB game the week before and saw a t-shirt saying "Musketeer Football  Undefeated since 1968".

Look, I realize Cincinnati marches to the beat of its own drum (own sports, own foods...nothing wrong with a little character, btw), but it in no way identifies itself with Kentucky.  There is nothing horsey or bluegrass about it.  Believe me, as annoyed as they generally are with Ohio State, they have far more animosity towards UK (mostly because college sports revolve around bball).  You don't go to Kentucky for any reasons other than the Hofbrahaus or Party Source.

Bucksfan, I agree with your sentiment mostly.  I live on the Kentucky Side and have said on this site repeatedly that people who use the Cincitucky term have no idea what they are talking about.  On both sides of the river people don't generally care for the other side.  I had 2 grandpas that it practically took an act of congress to get to cross the Brence Spence Bridge to go to Cincinnati.

Quite honestly, I don't see much of a difference between the 2 areas.  I spend a lot of time in Cincinnati, my wife teaches in CPS, and I have friends that live in some of the Cincy side suburbs. I also have plenty to do over here in NKY that I enjoy. It's pretty similar, but at the same time I don't see all that much difference in Cincinnati and Columbus when I go to Columbus either.  I'm sure people will tell me why I'm wrong about that too lol.

I played baseball on a team a few years back in CRC.  Most of the guys were westsiders, some were eastside and they'd always argue about which side was better.  I said neither, Southside, KY is where it's at, you've never seen the both sides join together so fast to talk about how Kentucky was clearly inferrior.  You can find that same attitude on this side as well.

This part of Kentucky is annoying because of the idiotic UK fans though!  I worked for a Valet long term parking lot near the airport and we had a lot of former athletes and coaches park there.  Dick Lebeau, Bob Trumpy and Oscar Robertson.  The first time I met Oscar I was pretty  much in awe to be honest.  It's not every day you meet one of the best players to ever play their given sport.  Anyway, long story short this UK moron, says he wasn't that good, he went to UC?  I said WTF does that have anything to do with it.  He said he's was over rated.  I said well dont think any UK alum AVERAGED a triple double for a season in the NBA.

I think what makes it super embarrassing for me is that Urban Meyer is a UC grad.  You'd think it would warm them up, if anything.
