Actually, I would NOT be surprised in the least if Saban had interest in Texas. They can actually pay him slightly more, and Austin is a much better place to finish out your career. Tuscaloosa is not a place you want to live your whole life (and neither is Gainesville). Columbus, Austin, even State College, Madison, and Lincoln are much more desirable places to live than anywhere in the SEC (except maybe Nashville... but Vandy isn't quite a dream job).
