Loser of Big Ten Title Game?

Does the loser of the big 10 title game automatically get the 2nd best big ten affiliated bowl, so winner would get rose, would loser get cap one bowl? Or let's say one year we win leaders with a conference record of 6-3 and michigan state wins legends at 9-0 (because we are going to a 9 game conference schedule) and michigan is 8-1 in the legends, would michigan get cap one bowl because they have a better record? Thanks for the help and I hope that wasnt confusing

No, not necessarily.  Let's say Ohio State wins out, but loses the conference championship game to MSU, they will finish 7-3 in the conference, and 9-4 overall, and wouldn't be going to the Capitol One Bowl over, say, Michigan, Nebraska, or Wisconsin who would have better records.

The conference championship game is basically the Rose Bowl play-in game.  I don't think the loser will be hanging a banner that says "Big Ten Runners-up," but I could be wrong.  They might hang one that says "Division Titles."

Not to be a smartass, but you can't say they definitely would't, as the bowls have the choice of who to invite...  If Ohio State wins out they would be one of the hottest teams in the country at that point, and we travel well, so if we lose a close game,  there is a chance the capital one bowl might select us over a team with an 8-3 record that we beat...

but either way, no, the loser is not guaranteed the second best bowl game...

I thought the other "tie-in" bowls went in order of B10 finish, not "who the bowl wants" while the at large bids to the BCS are a popularity contest.

OOPS....just looked it up. The Capital One Bowl picks first from the B10 followed by the Outback, Gator, Insight, Meineke, TicketCity and finally everyones favorite the Little Cesars Pizza Bowl (formerly the Motor City Bowl). SO...OSU could finish with more losses than Sparty (for example), lose the championship game, but go to the Capital One over Sparty due to the fact that we (theoretically) bring more fans.
